Nono, you're supossed to hate eureka like everyone else and not have an opinion of your own!

A place can be a warzone without being a grey/brown ugly plain. Could be a city, could be a jungle, could be a river, could have more than 3 punny camps...It is a warzone after all... sorry to inconvenience you with all the bombed out and depressing landscape and such. For Endwalker, you might wanna skip out on the Garlemald stuff, it'll look the same as Bozja, which is to quote you, "the ugliest zones the game has ever seen."
im baby

We actually have the jungle bit with Gangos and there is water in Bozja. I dont want to imagine trying to fit CEs, FATEs and Castrum into a city...but I'm sure we'd have some lovely times with bosses clipping into the buildings. Honestly when I first went into Bozja it gave me a feel of being on a battlefield....because this is generally what they look like. I know wars in history have had exceptions to that but when the general public thinks of "battlefield" it's a place with little to no greenery or life outside of the people fighting. Toss in some rain & mud for extra effect.

"Bozja zones look ugly. Eureka zones look beautiful."
It's a warzone unlike Eureka. What do you expect?
"Bozja chat does not have a sense of community (it's all just "lfg"). Eureka chat was glorious and fun."
Eureka had a lot of that too.
"Bozja only had 2 zones. Eureka had 4."
People complained of too many zones and wanted to do old content instead. So the compromise was to not overdo it this time and include some old content steps instead.
"Bozja relics are hideous. Eureka relics are nice to look at."
I think DRK's is pretty good, I don't know about the others.
"Bozja doesn't have mysterious fates that feel like an actual epic encounter, like Pazuzu or Louhi."
Bozja's form of these is Critical Engagements, and there are a lot more than one of these so that's not true at all. Critical Engagements feel pretty epic.

The problem here is that different people play this game and they have different preferences. I do think they dropped the ball on certain aspects (for instance DR Savage has no reason to run it past your first clear) but otherwise the content imo respects your time better then Eureka ever did (forcing you in that zone and only that zone). I think the Eureka weapons are extremely disappointing at the end for the amount of work you put into it. So no, it's not "clear" which one is better, it's just a matter of opinion.

I preferred eureka as well... when it was current, I'd play eureka more than the rest of the game! It was fun, had a sense of community and you could make so, so much money!
I absolutely hated the southern front. However I like zadnor. I think it's beautiful even, maybe because of the open sky. But yeah, zones in eureka were even more beautiful than that! (I personally don't like how hydatos look, to me it was the blandest one).
Yeah, I really miss the community and zone chat shenanigans from Eureka. Driving a train was fun.
Bozja feels like a slog, and nobody talks mostly.

Oh YES, I am Soooooo glad to see people that GOT Eureka! I will say I LOVED it there, some of my best times and memories playing FF14. The people I met, the crazy conversations, the epic BA runs, the comradery during the various grinds. Sigh, I really miss the original Eureka.
And yes, with the Eureka WHM relic, I feel like I EARNED that thing with all I did to get the final version when it was current. Even when I get a new weapon, I use the Eureka weapon as a glamour cause I am so proud of it.
I was terribly disappointed with the Bozja one with how easy it all was. When it comes down to it, you can kinda blame it on Blue Mage. BLU parties made raid/fate/dungeon grinding so trival that it took little time to get all you needed. Hell, even the nerfed Heavensward relic series as it is now is harder than getting the current weapon.
Preferring Bozja over Eureka currently.
Doesn't get that much better with Lost Chainspell, Seraph Strike, Lost Full Cure, and whatever other Lost Action that enables solo play or feels super broken at a ridiculously funny level.
"No you can't just use Veraero or verthunder without first casting Verfire/Verstone/Jolt first and change your whole rotation!"
"Haha Chainstrike Veraero/verthunder go brrr"
"No, you just can't ress an entire alliance without healer LB3 in this CE as the last man surviving and save an entire run!"
"Haha, chainstrike ress + Lost Full Cure go brrrr" or even the budget "Lost Cure III + Dualcast Ress + Ether Resistance Kit go brrr"
I made some extremely hilarious plays and epic saves which really does make the WoL feel like a God/Goddess of the battlefield. Feels great from the unchanging PvE combat system in its own way with the flexibility it offers. Bozja does this better than Eureka imo. The rank system is finnicky at first, but afterwards, feels rewarding after capping.

Eureka was much prettier to look at, but it was far more annoying to actually play. Especially Pagos.
