Glad I wasnt the only one with this problem LOL....I made it day one, had all the mats on hand, was prepping to sell a ton until I myself after an hour slamming my head into a wall, or floor or hell everything I tried to make it work realized, soon everyone might see that problem and sales would be dismal at best...

I half thought, well crap, maybe the HGTV 14 crew might figure it out before too long, but my hopes are going fast...the first step rung should be level with the ground so it isn't going as high but that still doesnt solve the problem it doesnt connect to crap easily either lol...

I too was super stoked when I first saw it.

How have the sales on this item been?

I know that on my main server, a few of them are still selling here and there, but the prices are dropping pretty quickly from what they had been when they were first dropped.

The only way I see is to float it up from the basement floor, and if you don't have a basement I guess you're SoL, sadly.

Glitching it through the floor doesn't work. The railing goes down with it and that completely closes it off so that you can't step into it. We've tried this and it just doesn't work.

Oh didn't see this comment. Well guess we are all SoL. Maybe in a large house it can reach the third floor. I haven't yet played with it. SE needs to fix this somehow.

I think it could work if they took the railing off, or tapered it to get smaller as it goes up. That way, floating it could, theoretically, work(?). I've tried floating it, rotating it, etc but my Au Ra can't ascend at all after it's so low. It also seems like it's collision/float allowance is finicky, otherwise it just shoots up to the top floor.

I also think the spiral can be a little 'looser' and that could help, as well, but I doubt they'll completely redo it. As it is, yeah, they're kinda useless. Which is really sad because I wanted to use them so bad to save some slots. :/

I just got around to testing it. I'm not having any issues getting on it if I've glitched it up from my basement. You do need to "enter" from where the railing starts to appear and or jump over the partially exposed railing, though.

That's normal now for any crafted item. Too many players flooding the market with items (especially the new ones) now that crafting is easy to level not to mention some of the RMT bots that have moved to crafting to get gil to sell. Unless the recipe includes a rare material (like Lotus Leaf for the Eastern Indoor Pond)), prices have crashed hard by the second day.

Sales wise, my MB is showing the last 20 sales occurring over 46 hours but the prices are down to about 150% of material cost if you're starting with raw materials or about 125% of material cost if you're buying the lumber/glue.

Really just here to put my support in with this thread. I, too, was INCREDIBLY excited to use this piece. But it's honestly just far, far too tall. Even on a smaller race I can't make it work in a way that's feasible for myself and friends.

This item definitely has issues. It just feels like this item was rushed and not properly tested.

1) It's way too high, it goes so much more higher than a door that what little room you have at the top to place it level with a wooden loft is basically crawling space.
2) There's no means to connect the stairway with a loft, if you try to flush the last step with a wooden loft the loft then blocks your way trying to get back down/up again.

You aren't wrong. As a house designer I cannot for the life of me think to how to make them work in a situation where I can use them as intended. As a max height Elezen the camera is ... yea.. no. The height they are at is unuseable to me, I cringe for all the Au Ra's, Roe's etc that are just too tall for them at all, let alone the height they go to.

I put one of these in my loft, and oh god. I just decided to give up and use it, because its so cute. All my lala friends love it, but I hardly use it being a male viera lol.
