Lodestone update server names revealed

ok by releasing names now they run the rsik of having one or more servers underpopulated again. Say no one likes the names Sagatanas and Gungnir, so 50% of the people going to those servers all move to different servers just because they will take anything but those names. so then u have 8 servers at max and 2 servers with the same population as the current population. that ruins the reason for the server merge in the first place. And as i stated earlier Yoshi himslef said 5 days ago that Names wont be released till after merge is complete. I highly doubt they would all of a sudden just change his mind and release them.. thats exactly what this thread is about. some people dont like their name so they make retarded petitions to have it changed, or if they really dont like it theyll move. im pretty sure they dont want that

Yoshi is LISTENING TO THE PLAYERS WISHES.. so he released the names early... and even changed how the merge would happen.. if anyone leaves Lindblum cause it will be named Sargantas is ***king retarded.. cause once again... A NAME WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR GAMEPLAY........ do you know why??? BECAUSE IT IS JUST A NAME.... NOTHING MORE

Ive had my coffee young sir.. but after reading the past 9 pages of the same shit, I think one would get quite annoyed.. we all understand you guys don't like the server names that have been given to you.. but look how many threads there are.. really why??? Its a name bro.. nothing else.. my server name could be donkeyshit and I wouldn't give a ***k cause in the end it will not affect my gameplay at all.. I can log on and do events and chill with my peeps....

I like my server name. Ridill will continue Selbina's tradition of holding the FFXI flag. I like everything about the merge plan actually.

I read most of the thread and I saw a few people complaining, but they were a lot calmer than your rather insane posts. You see that right?

Why not just let them have their complaints, since you know they have a right to their opinion and all that, rather than devolve the thread further by flaming them.

If you want to defend the honor of a name like Sargatanas go ahead, but shouting and cursing and balling your fists to throw a temper tantrum is taking things in a really crazy direction over something like people not liking their new server names.

Thanks for the apology, I was pretty offended... the caps are to emphasize my point.. multiple punctuation for grammar, cursing well cursing can be used in a sentence can it not? and name calling.. well thats a farce because I didn't commit no acts of name calling..

well let's see every time SE make a update they cry and complain and yoshi-p have to rethink his idea. At the end is Yoshi-p fault for being nice and changing his idea every time a few people complain. Pretty much people now know if they complain hard enough yoshi-p could change his mind and fix it for them then real hardcore issue in the game people complain and we never hear a word by yoshi-p because not a enough people complain about it.

Trying to make everyone happy is the worth way of running your game he should really put his foot down on a few complain and issue.

I myself think all the names are awesome and at the end we all going to be with our friends which matter the most to us. If they dislike the name maybe yoshi-p would change it for them lol which would be funny thing to see and i bet it just start up again with more people disliking the new name and we be back here again.

you could take it that way but as they said before, they didnt want to name the servers to prevent people from Flocking to specific servers, causing some servers to be over crowded and others to be too empty. [...].

That certainly would have happened with the old option 4 and still could happen in this option 2 only that there is a very restrictive server cap. Once the cap is reached, no one can move to nor leave from the server. I think this means any mass exodus to a particular very short lived.

I just don't see the point in railing against people for expressing their opinion. In the past I have often taken issues with complaints thread, but it isn't because I don't think their issue is "significant" it is because I disagree with their suggestions or reasoning.

People like Synyster blitz flamed me relentlessly for suggesting that the original server merge plan was harmful to the interests of many people. I was told repeatedly that it was a "non-issue", that I had no right to complain, and that complaining was pointless because everyone should just accept every change made to the game on blind faith despite their reservations.


I love the new merger plans, our community will remain intact. Our old players will be on Ridill with us when they come back to the game, the name Ridill itself is awesome and will attract FFXI fans to our server for years in the future. But I'm not going to be a hypocrite now that I got what I wanted and tell people they have no right to voice their concerns too.

Now if they start demanding the break up of Selbina/Ridill or taking away our FFXI namesake I'll be here to defend it, but come on there is no need to attack people for simply having an opinion on an issue like Synyster Blitz here is doing.
