Sounds right and I play early morningsvtonlate afternoons EU time.
Only once I got to 50 did the dungeons start taking forever.
I play in NA. Besides the Prime time in the afternoon I've noticed there is an uptick in the morning which coincides with the daily reset for the DUTY roulettes. The reset happens at midnight Japan time so adjust for your time zone. There are usually people queueing t the last minute before the reset or starting up right after the reset.

That's probably the best plan. Let's get a few more data points before we draw any conclusions.
If there is a problem we should probably get it heavily documented so we can bring it before SE.
Good luck on your ques though.

There are many contributing factors as to why a queue can be long:So i decided to make a Twink yesterday and decided to start as a Lancer. Today i finaly reached the point where i have to do the first Dungeon and i already losing my motivation and thinking about starting over as a Tank or Heal Class. Right now im already 30 Minutes in the que for Sastasha.
This feels like a sick joke, someone could assume that a big and old game like this have some priority mechanics to help new chars getting fast through the Main Story and there first dungeons. But i guess this isnt the case for whatever reason.
- Your role is the most obvious one. Tanks and healers almost always get fast queues.
- The content. Is it the kind that players would need or want to repeat a lot? Or is it the kind that can be done only once to get what you need? Low lvl dungeons are rarely farmed. People usually end up in there again because a roulette happened to put them there.
- Time of day. I also play on Chaos and I found the best times for queues are between 5 pm to 11pm server time especially if it's not the weekend.
- Day of the week. Reset is on tuesday and at the end of the weekend queues tend to slow down.
- If there's a major patch soon players often are taking a break until then or are working on gearing up in preparation for it, which means they're not doing low lvl content.
- We're pretty late into the current expansion so many players are not playing as much as they used to because they have already done all the content they wanted to do.
- Languages. Chaos is for EU so players are not using the English client of the game as commonly as NA. Some players flag themselves as speakers of all languages of the game to make queues faster. I don't know how effective this is because I have not done it myself.
- Bad luck. Sometimes you just happen to queue for content when very few other players are also queueing for the same content.
Weren't they looking to add trusts for all main story dungeons eventually?
If there's a shortage of healers and/or tanks then a DPS is unfortunately set for a long wait as they're already the most popular role and competing for a slot with many other players. We're also fairly late in the expansion's content cycle so a lot of people aren't queuing for roulettes because they are already capped or are taking a break.
I think the real question here is: "What on Hydaelyn do you mean by 'make a twink'?"
I swear, if this involves a scantily-clad catboy instead of a fundamental misunderstanding of how gear works before level 50...

Queues used to take 40 minutes when I started the game as a tank.
When I was new around end of SB the ques on my dps were 30min each it was hellish.
Twinking usually refers to gearing out a lower level alt to the nines for the sole purpose of wrecking lesser geared players in PvP. It's most notable in a specific other MMO that lets you turn off exp so you can stay in low level PvP brackets forever.
Was unaware it happened here, too.
