Confirmation bias? How do you know, amongst all the adequate/decent players you meet each day, who are and who are not the two hour a day, family people?

I do think that there should be SOME kind of indicator of how good you are doing at your job's rotation, other than looking at your party's enmity, built into the game. If the game did anything to nudge people in the right direction, I think the playerbase on average would be a lot more skilled and you'd hear a lot less horror stories about people not knowing how to play their roles. I think there are probably ways to give people that information without it feeling like too much pressure for casual players, or like the game is talking down to you.
It's fun to use your job's whole kit and align your big damage buttons with party buffs! Getting players used to those concepts in normal/MSQ duties would have them better prepared for Savage and other endgame content where that kind of thing can matter a lot more. This game teaches you the very basics in Hall of the Novice but not much more than that, so there should be something to guide you when you're more leveled up and have more abilities.

I do think that parses are generally irrelevant in normal content. Even people auto-attacking will eventually kill the boss if given enough time. For Extreme/Savage - if the appropriate amount of DPS isn’t going out it’s up to the party lead to either disband or shear off the weak links so that a clear can happen.
I’d leave the Normal content untouched and just let folk who care about parses quietly run them on their computers.
policy need to be changed so the tos violators can be found and banned losing the 1 % would be no big loss they always seem to insist on making whatever game they are playing toxic anyway good riddance to garbage
An indicator would be nice. Something that shows the metric for the said player, alone. No need to see other's performance unless somebody ask another directly. Maybe add an option to hide or show performance result in the setting too, in case players really don't want to see how they're actually performing for whatever reason.
Then again, the devs' has been crystal clear where they're standing: no 1st party parser. Pullstop. The closest thing we have right now is only SSS & the pvp score card end result. I don't think they're going to add anything more than that.
"Stop right there, criminal scum! Nobody breaks the terms of service on my watch! I'm reporting your illegal mods, now enjoy your time in gm jail."
thats a little extreme. Everybody bit different when it when it comes to that.
for a year, would you rather be secretly filmed at random moments and have the footage uploaded to your social media or loose $100 when ever you said a curse word?
A grading system only you can see would go a long way.
