I’m very on the I need to know about the Hrothgar mane situation, that’s why I swapped to an Au Ra. I didn’t like not being able to at least swap to the other mane that was shared with my face style.

They picked out 30 people out of thousands for the Q&A, scheduled only an hour for it, only used 46 minutes out of the hour block, and answered only 5 questions... one of the curated questions being if YoshiP had any plans to write a book...
I know it was because they hadn’t anticipated how long it would take and that Yoship wanted to give thorough answers but this was genuinely a huge letdown. When he spent time answering questions like “I liked fighting kefka! Will we fight any other villains from other final fantasy games?))” I wanted to rip my hair out lmao. “Will we fight any other FF villains?” like every other fight isn’t a throwback to an old FF villain or monster oh my god. Who screened those questions? That is beyond a softball question. Hoping that he will release the rest of the questions and their answers on the forum or something.
I keep checking for interviews, trying to see if he’ll finally go into detail about the races and plans for them now that he doesn’t have to keep them a secret. Or at the very least share any updates we can expect. It’s probably going to be in the pre-6.0 live letter of it’s anywhere, but I’m hoping for the 14 hour stream to be held this summer and to see something there perhaps.
I remember finding this silly too. It's not as if the game has only one instance of villain from a different FF game. There is a VERY long list of them. Of course it's going to happen again. SE would be silly to not continue to draw upon the wealth of material they have to work with especially when it's well received by players.I know it was because they hadn’t anticipated how long it would take and that Yoship wanted to give thorough answers but this was genuinely a huge letdown. I figured anything juicy would immediately end up here as well so I didn't bother watching it, but that's hilarious.I know it was because they hadn’t anticipated how long it would take and that Yoship wanted to give thorough answers but this was genuinely a huge letdown. I remember a bunch of people on Reddit grumbling when they announced this that they would spend the entire Q&A answering questions about Viera and Hrothgar and how they wouldn't have time to answer REAL, IMPORTANT questions.
Whoever screened these must have really taken that to heart.![]()
I've been around since the ARR beta, and to be quite honest, I'm not particularly thrilled to see how SE has been handling "controversial" issues lately. I understand not wanting to address every single problem about the game, because there's always something to complain about, but I don't think staying completely quiet is the way to go either.
I know the Live Letters are a way to engage with the community and share updates with us, but it would be nice if they could integrate some brief Q&A segment at the end. Just to get the feeling that they are aware of some of the issues and that they might (or might not) do something about them. I'd rather be disappointed by their response, than being kept in the dark with nothing to look forward to.
I can't help but to feel a little cynical about the future inclusion of Female Hrothgar, considering we've heard a similar thing about Egi glamours in the past. I'm sure it's just me being a worrywart and that they will eventually be announced, but you know how irrational these gut feelings can be.
At the end of the day, I'd just like to see a bit more transparency and communication from the dev team.

Is there any new scheduled live letter soon?
