How do you use "nothing questionable" and "prey" in the same sentence? Even you subconsciously realize it's a manipulative tactic.Absolutely nothing.
No expansion so far was bad/unplayable/cyberpunk tier to the point ure probably thinking.
Nobody held u at gunpoint and told u 'PRE ORDER OR MISS OUT ON A MINION' with zero effect to your gameplay.
You could wait until 22th of November to see the first reactions/thoughts of those with early access and decide yourself to buy it 1 day before the official launch..but here you are,
thinking the expansion will be bad or that SE has some very dark secrets based on one minion with 0 effect on ur general gameplay.
theres nothing questionable about such a common tactic, its just preying on nostalgia, square enix isnt the first to do it, and definitely not the last.
Easily!
Hear me out, it is manipulative, but its also one of the most common practices in the gaming industry,
also heres another thing u may not know, Minions do not affect your stats, performance, skills or anything, basically as long as people dont get a gameplay advantage i dont mind what they FOMO[ and no a 30% exp boost isnt a big deal].
Plus i intended on buying Endwalker anyway, so i pre ordered, im not concerned about dark secrets or anything of that short which doesnt exist to begin with.
It's the same thing for all preorder bonuses. And I won't defend limited time preorder bonuses.
But the whole Fall thread doesn't leave me confident the OP here is bringing this up in good faith either.
And here I was just pre-ordering cause I wanted early access with the in-game stuff just being a bonus. I agree with the general premise of some of the responses that FOMO stuff needs to either go away or become timed exclusives but that's as far as I'll go, none of this other nonsense they're throwing around.
We're talking about the same person with 20 pages for why November is winter when it literally isn't lol.You may think it's a troll, I think they legit had their train of thought. I don't understand the need to kick them while they're down. I see many people (at least 5 people in this thread) rub in their face so I would go as far call it bullying.
If it and this is a troll, why is it multiple pages? Yall biting real hard if so.
If this is bullying, I've got some really really bad news for you.
I have no idea who these minions are supposed to represent other than characters from some old FF game. I have no idea why it's important that they are always together.
Seems to me like only those who are dedicated franchise fans would care, and as dedicated franchise fans they're likely already playing FFXIV. Anyone who cares about having both minions has up until the day before early access starts to pre-order.
I don't think anyone who cares is going to miss out.
The amusing irony is that for all people are complaining they don't come together, as minions they will be eternally apart. You can only summon one at a time.
They're twins.
That's pretty much it.
Hahahahaha true.
It'd be cute if they could interact with each other though, like two people having out moogle minions, but I'm not holding my breath.
I think the idea is cute. They haven't done a thing where you get TWO minions as a pairing for a pre order. Do I like that one goes away? Absolutely not, but It is what it is.
I also have a lore theory that they are using these two as a metaphor for Alphinaud and Alisae. Palom and Alphinaud both have training as a sage as something in common.

they're quite literally 'arguing' that november isn't autumn/fall in said thread, so yeah, not bullyingYou may think it's a troll, I think they legit had their train of thought. I don't understand the need to kick them while they're down. I see many people (at least 5 people in this thread) rub in their face so I would go as far call it bullying.

Bonus items added as preorder bonus for people who want to buy it earlier, what a tragedy
