Their overall design is clearly set in stone, otherwise they wouldn't have released a trailer. How much customization they may or may not have is up for debate though. Regardless, what we see now is what to expect as a baseline. We will know more later on this year.
That's a given, but height slider is not design, height slider is one of those things that go beyond the 3D art (creating them in Maya/Blender/3DS Max). Height slider is a feature, features are one of those things that go through a lot of iterations when it comes to development. Think of a mobile phone, when they're announced/shown to the world they have features which they go back and edit/modify until launch. Of course the base phone design is set in stone, but the features are not. Height slider is a feature they will most likely think about until the last second before they release the benchmark to the public. As such, there is nothing set in stone, that we're aware of officially as far as height and the height slider feature goes.
