Asmongold's reaction was priceless, dude. And he's right! you can't tell if it was a boy or a girl in that trailer rofl. Probably the only polearm they ever held was a dancing pole!
I will never understand how men that dont have huge beards, big jaws and are incredibly muscular are called femenine or hard to differentiate from females. The male vieras dont even look femenine, just young and boy-ish and slender, it's quite confusing hwy so many ppl seem to say its hard to tell them appart from the females tbh, not every male character needs to be big, muscular or look old to be identifiable as male (look at JRPG protagonists for example, male vieras look quite similar to them.)

The same reason that people used to claim that female Viera were too "masculine" just because they're not tiny waifus.I will never understand how men that dont have huge beards, big jaws and are incredibly muscular are called femenine or hard to differentiate from females. Tbh, I dont think theres a single element in female viera that comes across as too 'masculine', if anything, they look more diva than anything else, in fact they remind me of Beyoncé for example, they have the same kind of attitude and look to them, which is imo al lbut masculine, its just not super adorable, innocent girls.
Gee, I wonder why we never confused any of the female races for males (if lalafells confuse you, you have a serious problem). You think when they first reveal female hrothgar, that people would look at them and go "is that a dude!??"I will never understand how men that dont have huge beards, big jaws and are incredibly muscular are called femenine or hard to differentiate from females. Literally no one thought these were male Viera's till they saw they're flat chested! Everyone was thinking "are we getting hats!?". Then it turned out to be girly "protectors" of the forest. fgs even the image you have in your signature has more muscle mass than what was in the trailer lol!
Name a single thing about them that was girly lol, maybe the floppy eared guy was, but I dont get it at all, just what is so 'girly' and 'femenine' about them .Also, before we saw they're flat chested, we only saw the boots and hands, and everybody was indeed under the impression that male viera weren't happening, so just why should that mean they dont look like guys.Gee, I wonder why we never confused any of the female races for males (if lalafells confuse you, you have a serious problem). A lot of people are just doing it to make fun of FF; It's not just their appearance, it's that it's 'Final Fantasy'. The few clips I've seen of Asmongold, or his stream chat is just a lot of people screaming "weeb" game or whatever. It is a real roadblock though, for some players. Male viera in their current iteration just adds fuel to the fire. I've said before in the male viera thread, that the idea of bunny men is weird, and you've probably read some of my opinions.. make that times ten for these people's perception. I'm quite open-minded. Though, from what I know of Asmongold himself, he only really plays WoW, might dabble in PoE or whatever, but a WoW devotee pretty much. I doubt he'd ever seriously consider playing FF, at least not regularly.I will never understand how men that dont have huge beards, big jaws and are incredibly muscular are called femenine or hard to differentiate from females. They’re literally fem buns without bust size sliders in the creator... gg, big win. Can’t wait to see how many resources are wasted making fem hroths!Name a single thing about them that was girly lol, maybe the floppy eared guy was, but I dont get it at all, just what is so 'girly' and 'femenine' about them .Also, before we saw they're flat chested, we only saw the boots and hands, and everybody was indeed under the impression that male viera weren't happening, so just why should that mean they dont look like guys.
In all seriousness the hat thing shoulda been addressed long before a single sex of a single race came out if at all.
Stick with what works SE. content. The character creator needed a revamp in SB at the very latest and here we are getting a single sex of a race that nobody really cares for.
