Is it my impression or the whole bunch of blood thirsty people want more tools to kill more and faster?
Velahrt is the only one who mentioned Bard!
I wish SE bring Bard and many tunes into the game under one condition: every song has its unique tune - no more "King Minnie" tunes for everything. It's an insult to music!
There, fixed that for ya. Dark Knight & Samurai are really fun jobs.
As long as things like utsusemi don't exist i'm all for it.
I couldn't agree more.
The majority of classes from XI are staples of the series with the first 6 jobs dating back to FFI.
My view is that XIV suffers most from not sticking to the robust foundation of FF lore and trying to go too far in another direction. The jobs/classes don't have to function exactly as they did in XI but they need role definition. It seems impossible to acheive that end with the abomination of TP spamming mix and match we know as the armory system. I won't begin to say that I have the answer but maybe (assuming the final cap is 75) allow players to have that main job/class and pick skills from 2 other jobs/classes up to level 37. It would be different than the sub job system and still allow for changing roles based on what the player is doing. *Just a suggestion to go with my complaint.
In the end I think that XIV needs to draw from what has worked with jobs/classes and the battle system. While I wouldn't mind FFXI-2, I also realize that XI had it's fair share of issues (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...1-LOYALTY-MODE if you need a few specifics) and thought XIV would build off of the foundation of XI to provide a superior experience. To this date it has done quite the opposite. Until things change I'll remain cautiously optimistic and keep waiting for the mystery patch that fixes everything.
