Alright, I spent a little time making an accurate representation of player races, using some real life examples. This would be the disparity between heights - on average - if male viera were only slightly taller than (short) midlander. I used the WoL for the midlander.



As you can see on the right: We have an average, and tall man. Along with male viera, and the midlander WoL for reference. On the left is an example of a very tall man, in comparison with an average height man. Midlander wouldn't even show up, that's how short they are, even at max! This was quite a learning experience. I used an accurate scale, but boosted the midlander slightly up so he could show up in comparison.

Hmm, the left is someone who is 272cm, the one in the black tracksuit I don't know but is 216cm tall. Looking at Wikipedia I see USA people average as quite short, adult women only 163cm, and the USA men not that much taller (and still very short) at 177cm.

So, I am not sure the guy in the black tracksuit is "average height", certainly not in the USA, anyway. He'd be tall enough to be a basketball player with the average USA lady coming to his nipples.

Edit: Should mention that while USA women average to 163cm, this is 2 cm taller than a Au Ra girl. (I think that's less than a USA inch) So when you see your average Au Ra running about next to her Lizard BF, think hhmmm, that girl's USA female average height... yeah, she comes up to his nipples too, we get a better sense of the scale. Au Ra males are the size of the guy in black track suit.

Im not making an argument, i’m stating a fact. Just like i stated the fact Yoshi P equated them to Male Elezen. They’re going to be tall, people need to accept that otherwise they’re going to be the kinds of people crying and screaming over how they’ve been misled and this isn’t fair yadda yadda. It’s weird to me people need to try to push some kind of notion in a video game. They’re a fantasy race. Whatever height they’re given deal with it. This ain’t some weird propaganda political gender whatever.

I think folks just aren't understanding the perspective and the relative height of the items in the background. There is admittedly not a lot to go off of there.

Female Roegadyn are very tall and are the least played race and gender combination present in the game.

Given that a lot of people, who actually play male characters as a first choice have been asking for another tall, conventionally attractive male option to play as I think it's perfectly fine for Viera men to be of equal or greater height compared to their female counterparts.

Individuals playing female characters already get the bulk of attention when it comes to new hairstyles (outside of Viera women, that is) since they're designed to be feminine or androgynous in many cases. I think it's fine for those of us who play male characters to get something that we'd like to see.

With all that said, it would appear based on the video that Viera men are on the taller side so I suspect they will be of equal or greater height to their female counterparts.

Now, as they very well know there was a very significant side of male Viera supporters who wanted male Viera to be tall, and that's what this thread will be about.
I support that they're short, I want them to be how they showed them but I would request that a tall option be given through the height slider

So there is a chance that I hastily put that together the wrong way and misread.
Cause honestly, Im not following any information on the Male Viera that closely, all I care about at this point that there is a decent lore constructed to include them into the XIV world.
