You can pack your best potions and lost actions and you still can't stand in sh*t. In its way it's very unforgiving because it basically says "I don't care if you can take the dmg without dying: ignore/fail another mechanic and you're dead anyway!"
I understand where you’re coming from but I’ll have to disagree. Personally I’d like to know how to ‘correctly’ deal with each mechanic so I can avoid eating dirt without knowing where were the roots of my own mistakes. Respect the mechanic, as people said. It also keeps the mechanic relevant relatively better in case overgearing starts to creep in; we’re seeing these alot in older raids at this point (although DRn syncs you anyway).

Though now that you mention it, they do add more of these “I don’t care if you can take dmg without dying”-stuffs. It sounded like whoever created the older mech doesn’t fancy playerbase’s creative ideas to cheese mechanics. One thing that comes in mind is comparing the vuln stack from the previous tier eden verse & the current dmg down (as severe as -50%? really SE?!) in eden’s promise savage raids when we take avoidable damage.

But TcR doesn't tell you what you did wrong, only that you did something wrong. You don't need TcR for that, because usually you will also get a lot of dmg anyway as TcR is just a "add on" to the dmg you took for standing in something orange. If Trinity Seeker hits you with it cleave or Daru with his fire breath you get a TcR but you would still know what you did wrong because you should be dead or nearly dead anyway.

How to ‘correctly’ deal with each mechanic is easy: Don't stand in orange. Because you only get a TcR if you stood in orange (iirc, I'm not sure if miscounting your steps on Queen in DRn may or may not kill you directly)

That's why I said unforgiving instead of forgiving. The orange AOE may or may not kill you directly but even if you survive you still get your strike through TcR, making the next orange AOE 100% lethal for sure without any chance to survive, no matter how much you shield or buff yourself.
