In Japan, yes, because it does not snow there until December, but not in America.

No it doesn't winter isnt till near the end of December fall is until december 21is

lol, you really should follow your own advice and read up on seasons because the truly foolish thing is to assume that everyone around the world actually follows the same definitions.

Different countries/cultures/areas have different dates for when the seasons start and end, even what the seasons are. In Australia, for example, we use the meteorological definitions which sets each season as a three month period starting on the first of the first month in each of those periods. For us this means Spring (which would be autumn in the north) starts September 1st and ends November 30th. It's particularly relevant as googling seems to indicate Japan follows this definition rather than the one used where you live.


edit: This is actually reinforced in the keynote where Yoshi-P/Koji Fox referred to November as very late fall and there was the whole line about whether or not that late would be still be considered fall or winter. So it seems blatantly clear that those using the term "Fall" to reference a period in the year aren't using the same definition as those using the astronomical definitions that wouldn't start winter for weeks.
