    I don't know what America you live in, but the America I live in (USA) Winter starts in December.

    EDIT: Of course this is going by Calendar dates of when winter starts, not when it feels like winter. If we're to go by when it first snows, then I say people in Phoenix, AZ will be disappointed, since Snow may never come for Phoenix.

    My residence however is weird. Sometimes it can snow in October for like 1 hour and completely not stick to the ground. Then in December/January it'll rain all night (when it should be colder than in the day) then snow all day and stick to the ground til the next. Then it starts acting like spring for a few days late Jan, but then snow again.
