Does it even matter, considering the official dates given for Endwalker's release are Nov 19 for early access and Nov 23 for the full release?

Winter: Dec-Feb
Spring: March-May
Summer: June- August
Fall: Sept-Nov
This applies to the Northern Hemisphere. So November is late Fall but still Fall
They said 'Fall' and November 23rd is still Fall. How much more honest did they need to be? They gave us the release date before accepting preorders so as far as I'm concerned that's as upfront about the release date as they need to be.
To be a bit more technical, Autumn this ear in the northern hemisphere begins Wednesday, September 22nd and ends Tuesday, December 21st. They're almost a full month before the end of fall.
Yes. In my country winter starts between october and end of december depending on where you live, since Sweden as you may know if a pretty long country. That's why different countries have different starting dates for winter. Since it's an international fanfest event it's better to just be honest and say the month instead of the season which is different for everyone. Yes, I know November is fall in Japan... but it's not in America. Also November isn't even fall or winter in Australia it's like spring or summer there.
And in what country are the dev's who work on this game located?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Season
Meteorological temperate seasons
Northern hemisphere Southern hemisphere Start date End date
Winter Summer 1 December 28 February (29th if leap year)
Spring Autumn 1 March 31 May
Summer Winter 1 June 31 August
Autumn Spring 1 September 30 November
That doesn't seem right. Fall is now only two months in America because of climate change making summers and winters longer. By the time you're in November the leaves on most trees have already fell off.
Not quite. Seasons are defined by astrological or meteorlogical (temperature) requirents. By both, in 2021 winter does not start till at the soonest december 1st, no matter the nation. So November is still fall in the US.That's why different countries have different starting dates for winter. The solstice and equinoxes determine the season. At least, always has for us. Summer and winter solstice, spring and autumn equinox.
And I've lived all over the US. It's been this always. Heck. Calendars even have the dates on them....
