yes among other things, people wanted male viera and yoshi was kind enough to give it to them, now they're complaining because it does fit their specifications, have some gratitude, people who want female hrothgar are going to have to wait even longer to get their wish.

I'd have to read through the thread to see what some of the complaints are. Personally, I'm very happy with what we got!

I think people might be confusing hopes and wishes with whining. Most people seem grateful, but they are speculating height and voicing concerns/desires. It’s just discussing male viera like always. The same exact thing happened with female viera before the ShB benchmark was out too. There will 6 months of discussion and that’s ok. It doesn’t mean people are complaining though.

Ah yeah, I mean it's fine discussing what you think the height may be, or what you'd prefer it to be. I don't see that as complaining.

That’s a common trend around here People giving their opinions and concerns and people just writing it off as “whining”. Everyone is entitled to their opinion it ain’t whining. Ironically there’s more whining about people “whining” than actual whining xD

I just wanted to come in here and say thank you to everyone who kept this thread alive for almost 2 years. There were only a few days that I didn't find this thread on the front page and if I didn't it was on the second page. I supported this thread early on but didn't endure like those that fervently kept this thread alive and relevant. Thanks to the naysayers too, b/c they kept this thread up on the frontpage as well

I'm happy it was kept alive. In my previous viera thread, I had to occasionally leave an on-topic comment in order to bump it, but that wasn't really necessary with this thread. I did keep an eye on it just in case. Thanks to the commenters, I never had to worry about it.

It's great this thread got so many likes and support. I think the ffxiv team does sometimes look at the feedback on the forum, so I think more people should utilize the like button. It's more effective if you have one thread with a bunch of likes instead of many threads of the same topic with no likes.

I don't love the way they look in the trailer... but I'm by no means ungrateful. Still going to play with it in the character creator and see if I can make one look pleasing to my own eye, and even if I can't, I'm still going to be happy that I at least have the option to be that race. Can't speak for others, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is a sentiment shared by others.

If you see the history of the thread, the desires for how they might look really ran the full spectrum from tall and muscular to basically Ivalician moogles without wings. There was always going to be a sizable portion of the players unhappy with the final result. But I do think we're all still happy that at least the sex exists as something playable.
