Lets downplay all the different people that posted here over time. Also lets downplay the huge amount of Likes the first post has.

Also lets totally ignore how quite a few posts are from people coming here only to attack those that want to show their support in a support thread.

I am also not sure whats with the term echo chamber. So is it now wrong to have a topic where most that post have the similiar opinion? And as someone here from the start I honestly dont count it as one...Yes most people posting here are for it (its a support thread after all..) but we already had pages over pages with different views on how tall they should be, how they should look overall. If it was a pure echo chamber why would that happen?

But I guess instead of seeing it as proof that quite a few people would love male vieras we will just call it a echo chamber to put down all these different opinions.

Seriously, this person and a couple other individuals are just here to spoil the mood in the thread, just ignore them. I don't even know what kind of satisfaction they get out of it, but they are here every other day saying how meaningless everything is.

yeah that‘s funny. the ones that have the need to point out it‘s just a „echo chamber“ or other similar counterarguments are themselves the ones that don‘t contribute anything new except trying to spoil the mood with the same arguments again and again it just feels sometimes it‘s not about „lore“ or similar reasons but just because „i don‘t want other people have fun/excitement“. and it feels like certain users just want to provoke a reaction or troll in „disguise“.
but in the end, everyone is allowed to share their opinion as long as it remains civil.
i also must say there were some good counterarguments, with which i don‘t agree in some degrees but have been nevertheless good inputs.

Lets all remember the bunny gold saucer set. People talked and asked them about it for like forever and at the end we finally go it. I am sure that if people had stopped earlier they would have just hoped that we did forget and not do it.

For some weird reason...I feel like in the scenario that they outright say "No Male Viera"
People will still be toxic, and people will still chant Male Viera; thinking if they continue to be loud about it, or even find new "louder" ways to give attention to it, that they could force/convince SE to make them.

Sure, people have proven they have no conviction about "Quitting" XIV over it.
But I feel like they would Ride or Die to push it in SEs face

I’m fully of the mindset now that if they concretely say there will be no male Viera then yes I’ll be upset because I want them, but after that initial upset I’ll accept it. But even if there still a small lingering hope without a concrete no then I will still want them. And hope we get them.

Well, Yoshi-P recently stated that the game isn't going anywhere and assured players that he wants another ten years out of it at the very least. With that in mind, there's plenty of opportunity for the missing genders to be added as well as an upgrade to character customisation across the board.

As an aside, even if a feature if flat out denied...that does not mean that the development team won't change their mind at a later date. Be it due to pressure from executives, the community itself or because they need something flashy to bring in new players/lure back players who have since left the game altogether.

That is true, I just meant in the sense of recently within the next few years or so if they were to say no. No current plans at all, that I could accept it.

With the timeframes they expect for the game lasting, it's also hard to believe it won't benefit from another race being added eventually, and there's apparently some graphics upgrades coming for the PS5. We'll see what those are.

It's Icon Textures. And it's possible they lowered the load speed cap for SSDs since the video shown. It's limited for certain fights in raids to avoid SSD advantage. Anyway should stick back to topic.
