i believe if they won't say anything about the hairstyle issue in the q&a today it means no new hairstyles for Viera , and male viera will be as restricted . part of me still hopeful though

It'd be nice if nothing else, they'd allow female Viera to use male Vieras hairstyles.

yes ! honestly any addition would be nice even if they gave us 1 hairstyle .. or even if they told us we won't be getting any new hairstyles at all , it's still better than waiting for the unknown .

Well looks like its 5.55 and not 6.0. I guess we have to wait for future letters that deal with the xpac. I was hoping we'd see stuff tonight but doesn't look like it's not going to happen sadly.

I had a feeling we wouldn't see anything. Gotta strap in for the long haul.. I wonder if the other races will get new hair as rewards leading to 6.0..

100%. It's depressing. Viera is the race for Rhana. I can't change her, because then she wouldn't be the WoL any more. I just want her to have something different.

I'm pretty numb to it by now, but it's still disappointing.

When they asked us to "please wait a little bit longer" they cited (surprise!) resources as the reason it's taking longer, shame our hairstyles don't seem to grow in the cabbage patch out back like the hairstyles for everyone else do.

yeah I tried going au ra now, determined to stay as one but....no I just missed my viera. I just MISSED her, the way she moves and smiles and her stature. She is Viera. My alt was turned into my lovely Raen though so.....all good.

Just switched back to my veena as well. I need to catch up in story (haven't even unlocked the latest dungeon), and prep for the main story leading into EW come the 25th. I was hoping with good news during fanfest I would want to stay Viera, now I'll just be thinking of the hairstyle I paid 8 million gil for that I could use on Miqo'te, and that new one (someone mentioned) that I won't be able to use, with no alternatives for viera. Thing is I'll want to be viera for EW launch too (For story) so it'd be even more of a waste of money if I switched back and forth again..

Miqo'te just isn't my thing for story cutscenes, I can't take her seriously. Viera is my favorite.

I’ll keep the faith until EW. The addition of male viera and the promise of female hrothgar, while I always expected them to show up eventually, shows that they are listening and care about these races. But if by any chance this feedback gets back to the dev team: a little word on the matter sooner than later would go a long way!

Yeah, apparently, viera/hrothgar updates weren't important enough for the fanfest.. What some optimists say is that with male viera, viera as a race is 'complete', so now we should start receiving updates. I still think it's quite a bit late, they could have at least said something. Not to mention all the jumping around the question of male viera for the past couple years, and how they just couldn't add them.. I guess they really did want that to be there hit 'surprise' announcement.

Yeah. It’s possible that they wanted the focus completely on that, and later in the other events they’ll focus on racial updates. Hrothgar aesthetician and expanded hair library would be ideal. Again I’ll point out that male viera are noticeable less floofy than female viera...it could be possible they are working on a way to make viera compatible with the current hair system, and possibly hats.
