Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Im just wondering 2 things rn: I wonder if they will be adding male viera NPCs as job quest characters in endwalker and Im pretty curious to see if they change the Fran conv in the raid if you are a male viera cuz if they dont itll be as ironic as Yugiri hiding her face because 'the world isn't ready to see Au Ra' when you're an au ra yourself lol

Unlikely they add many if any male viera as NPCs. Two examples of similar situations, male miquote are about as rare in distribution as male viera, and when you look at the number of male miquote as NPCs we interact with for quests, I can only think of two. The one in Peering Stones trying to ready himself to take lead of the tribe or whatever his story was... it's been 4 years now so I've forgotten exactly. And the Crystal Exarch. Additionally duskwight elezen as another example are rare to encounter above ground, and that's well reflected in our NPCs with only very few appearing out and about (at least on the Source)

They tend to stick to the lore when it comes to who lives where, and in what distribution, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's maybe only 1 male viera we encounter as an NPC in all of Endwalker.

Just my wishes but i really hope they are taller, i already have my smoll miqo boy who i play most of the time (like 90% of the time) and would really, really like if they are about the same height as male elezen. im currently playing au ra because there‘re no really handsome (just my tastes) tall races except au ra. and glamouring around their hips is hard sometimes.. i hope they are the really tall race i‘ve been waiting for this long!

even if they are not im probably going to main manbun, since i really do think they are designed nicely.

I wouldn’t go by the render, especially since there’s no other reference in the image to go by. Is anyone able to get an idea from the trailer based on the environments they’re running around in? I know at the very beginning, the viera seemed to be as tall or taller than that bed seemed long.

Well, to be fair, the male Viera in the picture Zeylos posted looks out of scale with the female. Notice how his head looks smaller than hers.

I found larger renders of the male Viera and tried to scale them equally with the female ones.

I'm pretty sure the males will end up being taller than the females, just as it's true for the grand majority of the game's races.

Posing and distance from the camera creates illusion.

No high heels. So,that suits me, they are a tall race, but still shorter than GirlBunnies thanks to the more sensibly posed feet.

we do encounter about several male Miqo'te as NPC in different places.

the very first case is Sun Seekers Miqo'te tribe in Thanalan, in Oasis (has 2 or 3 males present iirc).
Another one is male Moon Keeper from tribe quests (if you finish all of them, you'll have additional quests in every expansion except 5.0, where he shows up)
There are 2 male Moon Keepers in SCH story line (just mobs, we kill them).
Another male Moon Keeper shows up in Moogle Deliveries quests and he also has a dedicated FATE in Shroud.
One more Moon Keeper shows up in BLM storyline.
Then there are 2 male Sun Seekers in MSQ in Stormblood (the leader of the tribe and they guy you mentioned trying to take over him) and G'raha Tia.

There are also some around the map, one being in Scions. That said yes, generally speaking male Miqo'te are pretty rare among NPC, and even more rare in MSQ, especially next to the amount of female Miqo'te as NPC. If we are to encounter any male Viera among NPC, it will be likely in their respective area, if we are to visit it.

Just make them a reverse femroe - max height the same as/taller than females, min height shorter than them, everyone happy.

Judging by the image it appears male Viera are about a head and a half shorter than the females. So it seems the renders are somewhat accurate.
