6.0 Story Speculations

Sharlayan!

Looks like the speculation I made previously was right about Sharlayan choosing to do nothing and try to be the only civilization to survive the end of the world which may lead to certain Scions and WoL being trapped in Sharlayan because of the Sharlayan government

Indeed, I'd GUESSED the Sharlayans would sit back and do nothing, but honestly expected them to have some contrived plot point to get us involved. Guess we'll actually go there for some reason even if they're not actually "helping" (yet).

With Season 1 storyline ending in 6.0, I wonder what new storyline will FF14 have in Season 2 once 6.1 begins

Fandaniel isn't even on the boxart. Looks like he won't be usurping Zenos as the final boss.

I'm guessing the woman at the top of the boxart/poster is Venat.

Honestly can we even call that speculation though? They did the same thing with Dalamud and have always had the non interference policy...

They said in the Showcase Presentation a couple months ago that Danny Boy wouldn't be the final boss.

Posted in the FanFest thread but I agree, that's probably Venat.

I could see them doing a zone split between Labyrinthos and Thravnair, with some of the Scions initially staying in Sharlayan to try to gain support and the others working out in the field to assess the situation with the Final Days.

I'm also really glad to know there's actually two zones on the moon because it shakes off any worries that the finale might've been a touch abrupt if we're getting that much time to address the remaining mysteries of the Ancients.

It more about gaining access to Sharlayan than them not doing anything again because they only care about themselves.

There was still doubt access into Sharlayan may still be denied in 6.0 due to the end of the world may end up being their reason to not give us access to Sharlayan but now we got confirmation we will enter there.

The other speculation is that their habit of caring only for themselves may also cause them to actively try to stop WoL and his/her allies from saving the world because there maybe a group intentionally attempting to have all other civilizations be destroyed so only Sharlayan remains in their blind belief only they can survive the end of the world thus they wish to keep WoL and the Scion's trapped in Sharlayan.

That aside, i am glad they manage to bring back FF11 Dark Knight as a new Job to the FF series. It would have been a shame to have all those Scythe DPS combat path design go to waste.

Just wanted to point out how Fourchenalt immediately frowned upon seeing Y'shtola would not be surprised if a large chunk of Sharlayan is going to be Drama with the forum. I would also assume the House they said would be very important was Louisoix's estate or perhaps Alphinaud's and Alisaie's childhood home?

I would also assume the House they said would be very important was Louisoix's estate or perhaps Alphinaud's and Alisaie's childhood home?

It has been implied the Forum was rather obnoxious on top of isolationist, which was one of the reasons Matoya stayed in Dravania. The AST job quests indicated the Bibliothec faction were the hard-liners, with Sevestre being willing to resort to kidnapping and murder to prevent knowledge from leaving Old Sharlayan.
