REVIVE INGAME ITEMS FOR EVERYONE

I think SE should give everyone who missed out on prior pre-order & in game event items a second chance to obtain it either in game or via mog station

Sometimes life doesn't allow us to always be online, but in the light of fun & enjoyment for true fans & players, some of us would gladly love an opportunity to obtain these kool things in game.
I know me personally would like the lightning car & the bonus gain experience earring to lv 70. I think everyone deserves a second chance.

Changing the item doesn't equate to re-releasing the item.
I'm perfectly fine with pallet swaps for new items.

Like yeah it benefits the company.. but should we really respond to someone saying "hey I'd like this.. " with "It makes the most money for the company in the shortest time even though it's consumer hostile, NO!"

It makes things feel more alive.

This isn't some rando offline game. You can't collect ever item. I think that's kinda cool that some people are decked out in nifty limited items. If anything it diversifies what you get to see in a crowd, and thanks to limited items you end up seeing more unique things.

I don't see why this not being offline means I can't want everything?

This already happens when you gate things behind difficulty or time investment or even gender though. It's not like given the chance everyone would wear the same thing? People have personal tastes and preferences and unique concepts of their own.

My point being that citing FOMO being effective isnt a good reason to keep it around. Maybe you should have lead off with the unique gear loadout thing.

I'm just agog at between all the games I play and forums I frequent people actually DEFEND FOMO tactics like we as consumers should want them.

Depends on how long they wait between the bonus being a thing and when they release it for an additional cost to everyone else. If you wait till the next expansion, a full two years, that's still fair. If you want it NOW when it's new and trendy, you can get it. If you're a new player who started playing after that period was over, you can still pay them extra later to get the item.

That would be great for some of the really older stuff, or things that became relevant later. Like we had a full raid series featuring Cait Sith but couldn't get him as a minion because he was a pre-order for ARR, IIRC. Put a little wizard hat on him or something to reference his origin and let us finally get him.

tbh as someone who preordered every single expansion strating from 3.0 I would be totally fine if they did release old preorder bonuses at some point. I don't see preorder bonuses as something what makes you "unique" or "special", rather more as a gratitude for paying for the game before it was released. A lot of time passed since then, why not add them for everyone? I know I would buy ARR pre-order items immediately, as I sadly couldn't buy it when it was on preorder stage.
