Yeah happy for you all , remember that they had to take time to make them so they probably didn't fix the many current issue with viera/hrothgar and probably skip other stuff in order to make them.

I'm not sour about anything. This just feels bittersweet. I doubt they have fixed the limitations with this now complete race. I might make my alt a male viera, and my main back to a female viera if they ever get updated...

I have supported male viera inclusion for a long time. I am a regular of this thread of course.

They are quite a bit too boyish for my liking. I think I counted all 4 faces, and not one more 'masculine' face. These guys look like they are in a boy band. Looks like they went for a design they thought more people from both sides (boyish or manly) would have preferred.

Bunny ears are definitely not my thing on male characters, that's for sure.

I mean, every other race already has tons of manly faces and features. While I'm not going to play one, it's nice to have some diversity with a more effeminate male race than making them as manly as the rest of them.

So many people still believe there was some sexist conspiracy behind why what happened with Viera and Hrothgar in Shadowbringers happened.

Not saying that most people who wanted Male Viera and Female Hrothgar did this, but there has definitely been quite a lot of toxicity aimed at the devs.
It's not like the devs don't want to add things or are just lazy...
Can't say I am happy for those people because I hate seeing toxic people get their way, but I am happy for the people who weren't toxic.

No, more people will be whining, but this time people playing male viera will be whining about too few hairs, no hats, etc.

Well, I don't know if I would call them effeminate. They look like they can be made that way, but I would just say they look young.

They're a blend of elezen and miqo'te, basically - which is what was stated as most likely. Decently beefy, at least - not quite the base proportions I'd have liked but good looking enough that I may consider them an option to play as once we get our hands on the benchmark.

Mostly I'm just happy that they're not designed to look extremely child-like.

With any luck the character customisation will be updated across the board at some point, but this is a good step in that direction. We're getting male viera first, then female hrothgar later on. Once both are added, the push for enhanced customisation can begin in earnest.
