I'm begging for some short ponytails. I will never let my subtime lapse again if they grant me this single hairstyle.

More short hair styles in general! I don't forsee changing Adonis' hair much cause it's so specific to my vision of her but it'd be less awkward to change it up if it was another short hair do <3
Let's get this video to trend for the sake of all Viera's and Hrothgar's. We deserve so much more.

I saw that video. While the optimist in me agrees with her assessments, part of me just feels that, in the grand scheme of things, hairstyles and more hat options for Hrothgar and Viera aren't very important to the game compared to, say the new Ultimate fight (which was ultimately delayed until Endwalker), so I highly doubt that the upcoming Fan Fest will mention the issue at all.
For me, it's a catch-22 type situation: not enough people play hrothgar/viera to justify spending resources adding more hat and hairstyle support, which in turn makes people less likely to play hroth/viera due to their limited customization compared to the other races, which in turn causes SE to see that spending resources on adding more support would go to waste.
Personally, I'd love to be 120% wrong on this, but a part of me thinks that considering they've mostly been hush-hush about the whole thing, it's been abandoned for more pressing and more relevant issues to the game at large (the aformentioned Ultimate, the Endwalker expac, the new jobs/dungeons/raids/alliances/etc., and other features they're working on like the Island Sanctuary, among others).
[Edit] Just wanted to also add that considering we've gotten quite a lot of new hairstyles since Shadowbringer's release, along with new hat/helmets in 5.1 and on, the fact that they didn't even bother to model anything to Viera/Hrothgar outside of a few instances (like one of the casting/healing hats from the first Nier alliance raid, the octoberfest-themed hat for Viera) and not a single hairstyle (not even the NIER ones!) was given any modeling to Hrothgar (due to the hair being tied to the faces) and Viera (to my knowledge, they can't use the Nier hairstyles, but I may be wrong on that) just makes it more apparent to me that support wasn't even considered from the get-go.

I was wondering when She was gonna break her silence since shes an avid Viera supporter!Let's get this video to trend for the sake of all Viera's and Hrothgar's. We deserve so much more.

One could mention about the new battle content, but its safe to assume that the team that is in charge of developing hairstyles/ armors/ glamours (I.E. The character development team) is a completely different team from the Battle Content development team as, since you mentioned previously, new glamours/hairs/armors have come out despite the ongoing pandemic while battle content was stifled a bit. Essentially, saying that V/H are shafted because battle content is comparing apples to oranges...you just cant since they're handled by two entirely separate teams which are overseen by 1 person. Now, if Yoshi was re-allocating resources (I.E. taking people from the character development team and moving them over to the battle content team to get that content out on time, then Yea, I'd be more in agreement with you, but so far, no battle content (minus Ultimate) has been shafted because of the pandemic as far as we know)I saw that video. Totally agree with her entire video, and I’m happy someone that SE actually works with/recognizes in the community finally talked about it at length. She kept it respectful but honest, and I hope that if they haven’t by now, that the FFXIV team will take notice and actually, you know, say something.Let's get this video to trend for the sake of all Viera's and Hrothgar's. I’m trying so hard not to get my hopes up for Fanfest.

Its really hard especially considering its right around the corner and we're going to get a pretty sizable amount of information for EW. Its getting harder and harder to keep my expectations tempered and low, but ugh...its next satruday....gfjdskhfbkdsTotally agree with her entire video, and I’m happy someone that SE actually works with/recognizes in the community finally talked about it at length. I love my bunbun too much so I went back to her but yes please, more hairstyles!
(over the last few years - on 3 different characters but still - I went from Miqo to Midlander to miqo to midlander to aura to midlander to miqo to aura to viera to aura to viera to miqo to viera... I’m so fed up to be torn because of hairstyles)

True, the people working on the battle-side of the game are separate from the team working on the character dev. team, among the other teams working on XIV.
That said, I'm pretty sure the entirety of Creative Business Unit III (the one essentially now in charge of FF11 and 14, if memory serves me right) themselves are somewhat split since they're also working on FFXVI now, so I expect their divided attention to so many different projects is (in my speculation, anyway) causing them to decide what exactly is necessary to focus on. In this case, what exactly is the big picture and what will apply to the majority of the player-base of Final Fantasy XIV, in the grand scheme of things. So having to go back and remodel pre-existing meshes, allowing future helm/hat models to appear on hroth/viera models, and even the task of getting hairstyles to work on said hroth/viera models is, by and large, not a pressing matter in comparison.
Like I said earlier, I would love to be wrong on this, but that's just how I see it.

Same... Since ShB, I've been: Au Ra, Viera, Miqo'te, Au Ra, Viera, Au Ra, Viera, Miqo'te, Viera, Au Ra, Viera, Miqo'te, Au Ra, Hyur, Viera, Miqo'te, Au Ra, Viera, Viera, Au Ra, Viera, Miqo'te, Viera, Miqo'te, Hyur, Viera, Au Ra, Au Ra, Viera, Miqo'te....I love my bunbun too much so I went back to her but yes please, more hairstyles!

It sounds like a joke... It's not. The only thing innacurate is the order.. I've switched so many times, I cannot remember it. In fact, I've probably done so more times than listed there...
Yeah, going back and remodeling headgear? That's probably a no go, I think we just have to hope more headgear is made wearable (rather displayable) in the future for hroth/viera.. They should at least make the artifact headpieces work for them... Also, for hairstyles and hrothgar heads sooner than later.. since it's already been later..True, the people working on the battle-side of the game are separate from the team working on the character dev. team, among the other teams working on XIV.
