Glamour option to remove tails

I'm actually quite content with my character, my only complaint is that I wish Au Ra women were less... Dainty I guess is the right word. But l love the dragon/demon design.

Agreed on that. Female Au Ra are one of the few races I don't like design-wise exactly because of their daintiness - the emotes more than the faces.

I have a male Raen alt though, and yeah I really like the dragon aspects of their design.

Same with me seeing mods that remove roe noses. That's a defining trait of that race.

I don't put that on the same level of being a race-defining trait though, especially when one of the most prominent Hellsguard characters (Curious Gorge from the WAR quests) doesn't have it at all. At a programming level he's essentially a "modded character", being a Sea Wolf with an off-the-chart skin colour that can't be replicated in the character creator. At a story and character design level, that suggests that it's cultural face paint rather than a natural marking, or if natural then it's something that the occasional person doesn't have.

just wouldn't use the setting then not like OP asking for everyones tail to be snipped and i can understands what he wants
if it was simple as swapping to another race without a tail he would have done so already but every race has their own personality to them that swapping to hyur really doesn't compare to Au ra.

What about Elezen versus Au Ra (at least for the males)? What makes the two so substantially different that you want to play one (sans tail) but not the other? If the tail is bothering you that much, you're spending a lot more time looking at your character's backside than front. What is so different between the two when viewed from the rear?

Getting that sort of information could potentially help the developers make customization update decisions in the future assuming whatever the technological limitation they face can be changed.

If that's the case, then what's the point in playing any of the tailed races? Clipping tails is just a tradeoff for playing one.

Just speaking personally, I was tempted to play a male au ra due to their general physique and wild hair options. Not a complaint as I am happy with my choice as a fem highlander, but for me it was more about the body size, structure and general posture/swagger of the male au ra that I liked.

The tail was the deciding factor on why I didn’t change.

For me personally, it's the run, the posture, and the proportions (at least from the back)

Au Ra have better proportions than Elezen, especially when comparing the tall male Au Ra.

if you put Au ra next to elezen youll see the physical difference instantly
male au ra are much more bulky with hour glass figure compared to elezen whos much more even out and lankey

side note i don't mind my tail just pointing out just some unfair comparisons against OP request.

Every feature addition affects everyone, even if it's an optional feature that people can turn off, because (1) they program everything to be able to handle it as if everyone's using it, and (2) because it affects what other decisions they're willing or even able to make regarding the engine, memory structure, and volume of data access and transfer.

What are you even talking about. If anything, the option to remove tails put less strain on the server because it doesn't have to send information about tail size, tail length and tail form compared to "tail: 1/0". Even from a frame rate perspective less physics=more performance.
