Y'all really need to learn to stop responding to MPK lmao. Barely any bait on the hook and they're still reeling in replies.

People in every MKP thread: We know you're a troll! Won't fool us this time!
120 pages later every thread:
They are? How? All I hear is people who used to play WoW and complain how bad the game has become.
Well you are here, so wouldn't it be better to just ignore the thread alltogether?
You hear about it in spaces dedicated to FFXIV. Way too often.
"In WoW..."
"Coming from WoW..."
"Unlike WoW..."
"Go back to WoW"
In conversations in which WoW has not once been mentioned.
That game is living rent free in the heads of a good chunk of the playerbase.
im baby
I'm sure that applies to anyone who played this game and moved over to a different game as well.
But yes, ofc a game who pretty much changed the MMO landscape over a decade ago will had impact on people, at least us oldies who been around for a long time.

MPK doing the lord's work right here.
Praise section 3.3!

Many people who played WoW came from other games. Many people who play FFXIV also played other games before.
But you don't read
"lol go back to RO/ AION/ SW:TOR/ Everquest/ Flyff/ Guild Wars/ Rift/ insert any other MMO".
For some reason the FFXIV community is overall really sensitive about WoW and it is frequently brought up, escpecially to demean other people, devalue their opinion, shut down conversations and make this game look better. Sometimes it feels like the moment this game that shall not be named or all hell breaks lose gets named, people feel threatened and get defensive.
Just yesterday I read the exact phrases Zed mentioned (and some others) several times in the span of two hours in NN. You read it frequently in this forum. And most likely in other spaces dedicated to FFXIV aswell, although I don't frequent them much.
And I'm sure that this go beyond WoW simply being the most popular and well-known MMO besides FFXIV, it's more like a sensitive spot for the FFXIV community.
