I'm skeptical about them pulling another dragon-themed maiming job, though. It would def. be cool!

Doesn't mean they cant pull from it. He is a humanoid so transferring it to a player job would not be as difficult as a regular monster. Already got all the assets anyways (specially that serpent) though i would prefer they dont have the serpent and replace it with another creature. Gukumatz might not be a dragon but he's close enough to it that i'd prefer they dont and just do it with a wolf or something.

I mean, dragoon under blood of the dragon already has a a spectral wyrm floating around them. It evens attacks when doing mirage dive etc. That could be the aesthetic of the job.

Yes, it doesn't mean they can't pull from it but that fact that the team that came up with it isn't the one that designs player classes makes that less likely. Also, wolves have traditionally been associated with the Berserker job in previous Final Fantasy games as they typically wore wolf-skin armor such as the guy we fought in the Hero's Gauntlet.Doesn't mean they cant pull from it. Yea but idk if i'd like the other maiming job to be closely dragon like themed, Would kinda feel like trying to step on their toes. Either way i'd be fine with it just i would personally have it be another creature.
Really depends if they want to expand on Ranjit. I'd like to believe he's still alive because his "death" was very underwhelming. No theatrics and you just see him lying on the floor. Could of been unconsciousness for all we know. Which his body disappears afterword without any transition. Guy is resilient as Master Tao from Dragon Ball which is who Ranjit reminds me of.
How hype would it be if they revealed the next DPS and your trainer is a reformed Ranjit?
He's dead someone in 5.1 found his body and moved it. And even if he was alive he wouldn't be able to be our job trainer since he's from the first and they dont wanna tie jobs to story progress again and the job would have to be made available after the end of 5.0.Really depends if they want to expand on Ranjit. How is Ranjit supposed to get from the First to the Source? The class trainer is going to be located in one of the starting cities, most likely Gridania. It is also going to start at lvl 70, which is before we meet Ranjit in the MSQ and when he is still very much antagonistic.Really depends if they want to expand on Ranjit.
