People who complain about "muh full premade of 8 people wit friends!" Are being disingenuous at worst and willfully ignorant at best about how much it skewed games in their favor. For all you want to claim that you just wanted to play with 5+ friends, it was an oversight frequently abused by PvP vets to steamroll other teams for "easy wins" to the point where they could effectively shutdown opposing teams from even leaving their spawn. Nothing exemplifies this more than when the devs first limited premades to no more than 4 at the start of Onsal Hakir and forcing premades to freelance, and vets proceeded to all congregated to one GC without forming parties to stack their odds right before universal forced freelancer. I've seen people admit as much to it in places like here or reddit- and I'm old enough to remember when people would ask how to improve their winrates only to be met with "start a premade" as a response.

I always get a kick out of it when people respond about this with comments like "imagine playing an MMO alone" or "maybe there shouldn't be 'premades' in PvE (statics) either?" like they're even remotely comparable. Imagine thinking you are entitled to construct your own party and compete against people who all got assigned randomly to their teams. Be thankful the devs decided it to still be acceptable to queue as 4 as opposed to taking a page out of their Feast seasons and eliminating it/separating it entirely.
