The problem is, the main RP community and these ERP venues are different communities. Heck, the people who run the FFXIV RP Calendar refuse venues that sell ERP, so there's some self policing there, especially as it's the main resource for advertising RP.
The main RP hubs I'm a part of have rules against NSFW content. The are some Discords that keep it to an NSFW channel. But I've yet to see ERP advertised at any of these places.
Anyway, take me for example. I run an RP FC, I run 2 weekly social events, I also run a weekly story/adventure RP night for my FC, I help run a monthly(ish) social event, I volunteer as a vendor or/and performer at events, I'm in multiple RP communities within the game and it has been rare for me to see sexual misconduct. What I have known about has generally been dealt with. Yes, there are people who will engage in ERP in the main RP community, but that's normally in private and with people they know and normally the product of two characters getting that close, rather than openly advertised or out in the open, which the GM's and devs have never highlighted as an issue, as the ERP issue is over advertisement and it being open and there being venues for it. So it's not like people will police something that the GM's aren't even moderating.
What I don't have is an involvement with any of these ERP venues, nor does my position within the RP community mean I have any influence over them. So what can I do to police them that's any different to what the next guy who doesn't RP can do? And what responsibility do I have over said next guy? I mean, I'd rather put my energy in supporting the communities that I am in rather than the ones I'm not in and catch wrongdoing as I see it, not seek it out (I'm not a GM).
