The time has come for iPad Pro to get FFXIV

Considering the controversies lately they have had with Discord, Fortnite, and others, would you really want XIV on the iOS apps? Every single update has to be checked by them.

Sure, and how did you feel when you saw those people using memes to say nope to what you wanted?

(Clearly this won't happen until Apple decide to run MacOS on the iPad or Codeweavers get wine running on iPadOS, but that's different to the entitlement around saying "nope" to someone with just a meme. I find that overly rude.)

The problem here, is that with Apple on the app store, everything would have to go through the app store. Accounts(I think), purchases, subscription.

It'll likely never happen because of that.

While if the only thing a person has to game on is an iPad, or they're using it for travel and playing on the go that'd be rad...wouldn't the appstore payment policies also be an issue? I thought apps on the appstore could not have subscription models or payments be made through anything other than the appstore, which SE isn't going to give apple a cut of.

It's certainly another reason why it will be difficult. MacOS can run programs from both the web and the app store, FFXIV runs so well on the Macbook Pro, hours and hours on battery at speeds my Surface laptop can't dream of.

iPad Pro though, isn't the Macbook, despite it now having the same insides and so many people calling out to Apple to merge them.

I didn't "feel" anything, they have the right to say "nope" just like i have to say "nope" to this.

There is no way in hell FFXIV would be put on the apple store. They take a massive cut on EACH transaction I believe its 30% of every transaction. This is why Epic is in a huge law suit against Apple.
