G’raha’s unique quality of being versed in three weapons styles (gladiator, thaumaturge, and conjurer) is mostly explained in game by the fact he’s actually several centuries old and not because of his usage of job stones, like us. His role as a trust unit is just to fill in any role we need for that instance, thus his use of the default tank, caster, and healer options. I don’t think the devs would give him a class locked entirely to him since they need to recycle resources for characters used heavily. If G’raha got a unique combat style, it would be an enormous amount of work for something rather small in the grand scheme.

Meanwhile, Firion’s many weapon conbat style is actually a callback to how combat and experience worked in FF2, which was based on, if I recall, swapping around everyone’s gear to raise certain stats bit by bit. (They never used that set up again because of how cumbersome it was!)

And in Dissidia (the first one) it was to reference the other playable characters. He uses Guy's Axe, Maria's Bow, Minwu's Shield, Leila's Daggers, and I think the lance is Ricard's. Because in that game he was the only representative of FFII, much like how Onion Knight is a mash-up of several of the job classes since original 3 had generic Onion Kids instead of the named ones of the remake, and why WoL is a generic Knight with an original skillset.

On topic... yeah, G'raha is more of a "wild card" character so you can use him as whatever role is needed, so while in THEORY he can do any of GLA/CNJ/THM, in PRACTICE he's locked into one of the 3.

It depends whether he's being used as a trust party member or in a solo battle instance. For trusts, he's locked into the chosen role. For solo instances, he'll use skills from all three classes - mostly the mages, but he'll use Cover as well.

That makes me think of him kind of like Y'shtola's current fighting style as a Sorceress. I just find it weird in Trusts that G'raha still uses the aether-made sword and shield like he did on the First. It reminds me if how Alisaie first used Red Mage by summoning an aether condensed rapier from her old book. That's what gave me the thought that he might end up like Firian in a way, eventually using many different types of weapons with a unique job class tailored to himself.

Though, now this is making me want a Firian based job class for players. Lol, I know it would probably be impossible to implement such a class for players, but a nerd can dream. xD

It's no stranger than him using it to begin with. The physical weapon he carries with him is a mage staff; he uses his mage powers to conjure up (or perhaps transform it into) a sword and shield if necessary. But it really only exists for the purpose of trusts, not for something he would canonically use, or I would expect to at least sometimes see it in cutscenes and solo duties.
