What is your favorite and least favorite combat CD skill in the game?

Favorite: Goka Mekkyaku, and it's not even close. A combo CD, the fattiest of fatty fireballs (BLMs don't @ me), and Kassatsu→Chi→Ten→Goka Mekkyaku on a big group is the ninja weeb dream.

Least Favorite: Meisui. It seemingly exists only to justify the fact that the Ten Chi Jin single-target sequence ends on Suiton, and that's not a good enough reason to have a whole button.

So many skills i hate. typically most dps Ogcds. they're mostly just busy work and dont actually add to the game play.

you could quite easily scrap kaiten and just buff the potency of iajutsu instead. less clutter less button mash.

assassinate could easily be scrapped just bake a bit of extra potency into dream within a dream.

Yould could honestly remove a lot of the ogcds and the jobs wouldnt be any different. hell most of the time you never even see ogcd animations cos gcds overwrite them

I cannot fathom why assassination isn't just an execute. The fact that you have to hit an ability just to use another ability for 800 potency is just dumb. Just make it one ability that does 800 potency. Slap a long cd on it and call it a day.

Okay I cheated, it's two. But they are here for same reason: they buff none of my healing abilities!! Just my healing spells, whyyyy?!

Wait... Are you sure? I'm reading the tooltip rn and it says "increase healing potency for all party member". There's nothing pointing that it only restricts the buff to healing abilities.

Least favorite - Enochian - constantly fighting a short timer completely ruins BLM for me

Nope. They both specify "Healing Magic" which all the Aetherflow skills we have don't count, and never have.

Fey Illumination at least gives the minor magic damage reduction, but Dissipation just...Does not work with SCHs. You can't gain any of your Fae Gauge when the faerie is gone, so all those extra Aetherflow are wasted in that regards.

Wow. Healer is not my main role, but I do have SCH to heal now and then casually, for many years, and I never realized that Aetherflow skills didn't count as "Healing Magic".

They are specifically "Healing Abilities" It's weird, and really Scholar is the only job so hard-shafted by it. You'll notice that SCH don't get the healing magic potency from their level 80 skill like AST and WHM do as well.
