Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Here's the thing: If *any* male Viera was going to leave the forest it would *be* the WoL. Ever since their first incarnation, they've been a traveler, a wanderer. That wouldn't change now, no matter the cultural strictures.

It would just be better to suggest Male Viera have changed and joined the outside world, which would account for all the other Male Viera we will see outside of the Forest.
Saying the only Male Viera that left is the WoL, and then you see other Male Viera running around...just makes no sense.

Would depend how they want to do it, with the Au Ra they kind of reverse integrated them into the game, with a "they were always there" kind of approach. Viera and Hroth got a more soft integration where they were much rarer till very recently

Right, which works for the Au-Ra and the Hrothgar, and for the most part pretty much Female Viera.
Male Viera its a different story that they have been in seclusion by their culture. So to sort of keep that culture, but suggestion only the WoL character left, but then there are Male Viera running around...yeah narrative and world building it just doesnt work and..yeah.

So I would love to see Male Viera as a whole join the outside world with the Females

To be fair, the player Vieras [or any other player for that matter] are technically not canon in your story, so even if there are dozens upon dozens of male Viera players, yet 1 or 2 NPC at most, you can still say they're rare. If I recall it's even been mentioned that despite male moon cat players being popular, there's only a handful of moon cat NPC - it'd be the same for Viera.

Hrothgar and Viera literally kinda just appeared one day and integrated into society like any other person. If anything, the one that doesn't make sense whatsoever, because it was directly addressed in the MSQ, was Yugiri mentioning Eorzeans may be afraid of her features for being an unknown race, even if there's another Au Ra [the player] sitting right in front of her.
