New hairstyle & Rynes outfit incoming

As for the outfit, I'm not interested in that either. The last male NPC outfit I really liked has to be Thancred's HW outfit. It came with a cool hairstyle and the outfit itself looked decent. I was eager to get my hands on Hien's outfit, but not only did it lack his hairstyle the textures are incredibly low res to the point of it being jarring. (Strange that the female outfits seem to be crafted with more care, eh?)

I wish they'd just create a long, feminine hairstyle and a short, masculine hairstyle each patch and make them available to both genders. That'd appease a great number of people, I believe.

I’m really excited for Ryne’s outfit!!! I hope they release it sooner in the cycle than later!

I could go on and on about the hair not being for viera (really? THREE in one patch for everyone else and you couldn’t make ONE for us?) but I’ll spare this thread. A positive takeaway is that they seem to have listened - people have been asking for more updos instead of just spiked short cuts and this is definitely an updo. People (largely) don’t like genderlocks, and this is not genderlocked.

So maybe a step in the right direction? Especially with the hairstyle contest being complete (as in all of the runner up styles have been made in game), they are now free to get more creative and take the feedback they’ve been given in the last few years since the contest into consideration.

But at least it's a different silhouette from yet another side swept feathery boy cut.

More options are always nice, so I'm glad to see this! But I'm also admittedly (and selfishly) a little disappointed that we're getting Ryne's outfit for ShB before we get Lyse's outfit from Stormblood.

Ryne's outfit just doesn't match my character's aesthetic, whereas Lyse's does (and would be perfect for DNC glam)...

9S's hair (at least for me) borders on long for men. And let's not forget that this is the first time they've actually done this since, I want to say Heavesnward?

And as a minor gripe, they should have made them untradable and unique... going to be annoying seeing people wearing the hairstyle rolling on them to sell on the marketboards, and will be a repeat of those people rolling on multiple 2B coffers so they could have them all dyed different colors in their glamor dressers....

Technically, yeah - but the 9S hairstyle is very similar to the hairstyle used by the Warrior of Darkness in promotional footage for Shadowbringers. The main difference is at the back rather than the front.
