Viera and Hrothgar Megathread

I'd say Hrothgar is the most pressing issue considering they need to Fantasia to even change anything. Like.. that's just incomprehensible.

But beyond that I'm sure they'd appreciate more than 8 options too, or more than the 2 options per face as it stands now.

Honestly, at this point, just an acknowledgement of the lack of options and even a basic "We're working on it!" would be better than anything.

What i find really disappointing is that they said nothing specific since before xapc about what to expect and when. I think most of us were expecting something new for 5.1 then 5.2 and then after that started to wonder if we'd be getting anything. The lack of updates is appalling in my view. If Covid has delayed things so be it but why not tell everyone. They told people why Ultimate was delayed I just don't really get the silence for two races that were hyped like crazy for the release of the expansion and then nothing.

I think most of us don't expect anything now until xpac. One can hope at least we'll get some major additions then and I'm talking race specific styles. I would like to see some legacy ones added but dunno if that is in the cards ever. I think they've made it pretty clear about not getting legacy helms and hats but would be nice to get new ones or some Viera/Hrothgar substitute with events rather than get a piece of gear you can't wear.

Well in any case I wholeheartedly do hope you get new hairstyles soon, or at the very least with 6.0, in addition to those available otherwise on Mogstation for other races.

There are quite a few threads on (mostly) viera, and hrothgar that aren't generally on the same subject as this. Several complaining on each new hair release for the past couple years, or specific events, patches, and no hats. I didn't include those in my post, since this thread is on the topic of viera/hrothgar broadly. There are a lot more than 18.

Oh, and there were more than 18 on this subject generally too, but I didn't want to include threads with no replies, since the purpose of sharing them was so those arguments were archived.

I'm scared to ask how long it took you to find them. But hopefully, this one accomplishes something the others haven't. I would've gone Viera if not for how damned tall they are D: But then my hope is they're doing a slight overhaul on the character customization overall considering we'll be getting no more races.. So it seems like a nice time for refinement in general.

Not long. Just type viera in the search bar and you'll find.. quite a few. I am also a regular of viera/hrothgar complaining. So I had that going for me; I knew of many of them. ..I did also try looking for more hrothgar specific threads, but hrothgar players don't seem to complain as much as viera players.

But hopefully, this one accomplishes something the others haven't. The only way, I see this thread actually becoming a megathread, is if it can stay on the first page - until at least fanfest. Otherwise, if it gets buried, people will just create several new threads. Heck, they might do it anyway.

Yeah a lot of the misc. viera/Hrothgar threads get started by people who don’t frequently come here. Still, it’ll be good to have a place to point them.

Ultimately, the only real solution to not seeing any more threads is for SE to make it right. You’d think the people that go into those threads like it’s their job to sneer at viera/hroth complaints would realize that.

I hope it does, heck I'd even bump this thread myself if I knew it'd solve anything; which I may just be inclined to do.. Since these threads usually show more of an outcry, and have good topics going on in them

Honestly, people do.. But they also do have a limit before how tiring it gets seeing a different thread on the same topic.. Not to mention I think it just does more detriment than it does good.. Compare some of the discussion this thread to the other one, for example. It's a whole lot more practical and reasonable in here, so it'd be more reasonable to use this thread to be a means for giving feedback when it's not suffocated by derailing
