Imagine choosing viera knowing the consequences and still crying

Knew about no hats. Knew about no legacy hair. Still waiting on, ya know, the totally cool and unique custom hair SE said Viera would have that justified the decision for these two limitations.

edit: I'm not even saying "Give us a 1:1 for every new hair!!!" I just want maybe one or two sprinkled in. ShB has come and gone and they didn't release a single new bunny hair? Didn't throw Hrothgar anything either.

Yea I didn't change to viera thinking "kay we should get all the stuff we don't have before the end of the expansion". I knew most hats would be invisible and I knew the only legacy hairstyles I could realistically hope to get are those from the mog station. I also knew SE said we would get more hairstyles for our race.

However I didn't think that would mean we would go an entire expansion without getting one single hairstyle, while all the pre-ShB races get nearly ten. I also didn't think we would get our lack of head options rubbed in our faces even further by having the only glam piece from an event be a hat we can't use.

We are shafted for head options. It wouldn't be so bad if we either had a huge choice of hats, or a huge choice of hairstyles. But we have little choice for both. And hrothgar need to pay real money to change their hair. At this point I think SE should make a hrothgar and viera only fantasia that is cheaper than a fantasia for changing into a pre-ShB race. We're literally paying the same price for less content. At least have the cost of a racechange reflect this huge imbalance.

What really kills me is that Viera do have a ton of unique hairstyle designs to choose from (on npcs) in ff12. I heard "No, you won't get regular hair, but unique hair!" and immediately got excited. That game was when I fell in love with Viera, and began dusting off the old disc to "shop" around for possible 14 hairs. I have an alt that stays up to date on content. Not having to pay twice for new hair was 100% okay with me, actually!~

I just really wish we would hear something. Part of me is thinking that since we are finally seeing the end of the design contest hair implemented (which was a horrible decision, thank you SE for never hosting another one!) that they are on the "to-do" after finally working through that mess.

But I do see the bottom of those ears, and can overlay some of the hairstyles in my mind, and wonder if the greater issue is floating ears for anything but thick hair?

There's absolutely a few styles that would be problematic with Viera's ear positioning and Hrothgar posture, but then they always make adjustments to styles for Elezen ears, Lalafell ears, Au Ra horns and Miqo'te ears as well where those would be a problem.

I obviously can't speak for everyone but at this point I don't even care anymore if they bring over some of the older styles or just do unique ones (or a mix of both), as long as they finally just do something.

If they were to give modern aesthetics hair to Viera it would just be a case of scaling the hair to the correct size (there are a few exceptions, like the very flat long style, but this is generally how people have done the illegal-visual-crime to put the hair on bunnies).

Yes, indeed. Looking at the OP's rude post... I think this is one style that won't fit the ears.

I'm pretty sure that hair would work. It has enough body to lift off the scalp. Don't forget there's a long/flat hairstyle for viera that has the ears come out as stems already. The space between the ears and the head isn't the issue as much as the slot they decided to put viera hair (which isn't in the hair slot.. c: )

That's not how feedback works, though.
People have every right to suggest changes. Especially for things that were promised and never followed through. This isn't an indie company and, incidentally, Covid not the black plague. I must know, I work on an ITU.
