These races were released with the explicit clarification that these limitations would exist and would not be 'fixed'. This isn't something SE 'needs to notice', they have made clear from the start that Viera and Hrothgar will not have many things the rest of us will have. It isn't going to change no matter how many threads Viera players make with every newly released hairstyle.

We all know this, yet we still see folks being upset about this; SE has already stated that if viera were to get hair, it would be different from other races.


How is this something that needs to be "fixed"? SE already stated this. And "when" they make a new hair for viera or hrothgar hasn't been like, announced or anything so at least personally, I'm not expecting hair for these 2 races for prob months or even a year+.

Players of both races were also told that certain headgear and hairstyles (unique to their race) would be added over time. They have delivered somewhat on the first, though I personally feel it has not been enough. It is what it is though. The second...come on now. Even I know that saying "but you guys knew!" is a poor excuse there. I know that Covid messed up their development cycle a lot, but they've let a lot of things go without this expansion. And it didn't stop with neglecting Viera/Hrothgar.

If you are going to make the "less content" comment, there's a guy on reddit who's made a list up of all the things, and shadowbringers in 2nd or 3rd in terms of most thing. Unique bosses, unique weapon models, etc.

Just because we have less dungeons doesn't mean less things have been added.

Not with that attitude. Look we could go on for days why SE is so cosmically stupid for doing it, but I don't think blaming the playerbase is a good look for them. I mean if they were free I might be on your side, but they are tied with the cost of the expansion and even though I don't play either of the races and I think it's still ok to complain about their shoddy construction job. I've said it on multiple threads but it bears repeating. This is a Activision level screw up. Like I could see this playing Wow. Pre Covid we paid for less. Pre Covid... I'm just saying quality is what matters in the end not quantity. And sure it may seem like a waste of time, but screw it Blood Elf players got their blue eyes it just took 13 years of being told no. So I say again SE fix your game.

Some of it isn't to my liking but they will never please everyone. But they've had to cut corners to even make what we have happen. Viera and Hrothgar, GNB and DNC glamours, achievement certificate vendor, Hildebrand...and that's just the few things I can list at the moment, but I know there's more. I think the overall quality of Shadowbringers has been decent, but it came at a cost.

Personally I didn't mind grinding in Bozja and accomplishing the exact same thing, but I know that's not everyone's cup of tea.

Honestly, I like bozja over the deep dungeons. But then, I have ptsd over getting to floor 200 in potd.

There'd just be complaints it's another reskin either way so...


Plus, all my jobs have been leveled for ages. I've never been able to use deep dungeons or bozja as a leveling mechanic other than for new jobs at expansion launches lol. And that was really only SAM I did that with

Yes there's a pandemic but that hasn't stopped the pre-ShB races from getting several new hairstyles, and it's also not a good enough reason for complete silence on the topic for almost TWO YEARS.

I'm not expecting to get new hairstyles soon, but I certainly expected to see some manner of information about it by now. Instead we got nothing. No concept art, no teaser, no mention of the issue in live letters, not even a tweet. The last event had the only glam reward be a hat we can't even use. It's as if SE forgot we exist.

But I'm tired of seeing threads about it literally every time there's a new hairstyle. You know what you are in for. You choose to continue to use the race. Making more and more threads aren't going to make squeenix change things. They KNOW already, there's no way they couldn't know. And they'll either change it at some point or they won't. But making constant threads about it isn't going to change anything if it hasn't already. They'll either get around to making them better eventually or they won't.

I understand it can be irritating to see the same complaints over and over again, but what else can we do? This is the only place where we can give feedback on an official platform.

And please no one tell us to vote with our wallets and unsub. Our distaste at the situation isn't invalid just because we keep playing. Very few people like every single aspect of what the game offers. It is because we enjoy the game that this issue frustrates us so much. If we didn't enjoy the game then we would not care about hairstyles.

Imagine being told that Viera would receive new, unique hairstyles and not getting anything.

And somehow people are surprised that we are displeased, lol. If SE have no intention of giving us more I wish they would just say it. The silence is deafening.
