Might be a crude script to sit through MSQ for exp or the times. We did have a friend ask us for some basic coding help in discord and it did seem to be a movement and action command.

Maybe people are trying to streamline the tome process.

Once you start noticing, you can't unnotice. MSQ roulette today again found one DPS placing himself on the boss and does the same attack over and over...except this boss does a knockback on melee, so he ends up afking the whole fight after the first knockback.

I pray that everyone who does this never roll anything higher than 10 in any game ever again.

We were like, "hey dude, not sure you're aware, but we're going this way...down here."

They proceeded to say, "oops, guys I got lost go on without me"

Of course, they never even tried to come back down and we never seen them again. This happened twice.

These things typically don't bother me really since this roulette is easy, but when folks just clearly show they don't give a shid outright? I'm hoping this will die down after the event ends. Like, I know people do this anyways, but definitely not as often as it's been.

Has that happen recently in the MSQ roulette as well. The sprout in question was about to be kicked until they spoke up and said they were lost. I told them to punt forward with a "yes" the next time a pop up to enter an area appeared on their screen. They did just that and we all pootled through the usual floof afterwards. If you get lost in Prae or wherever, tell the team asap so they know you're not a cheeky freeloader. If you tell someone to teleport through the purple and they (repeatedly) ignore the request, no. They must go.

We all suffer together: this is the MSQ Roulette way.

I've started to see this on the normal Eden Raids on Crystal. People will wait until the fight has started and AFK or just turn on auto attack and die. They want a carry. In MSQ, it sucks but at least you can finish that with at least 4 ppl (or less). During regular Eden, a little more participation is required. I usually wait until after the duty is over and report them under cheating (especially when they suddenly come back to life when the duty is over and of course you cant kick them while the loot is open). -I don't do this if its a legit DC, but I've heard people can abuse that too.

I am back again, with yet another story: Malikah's Well. Specifically queueing into this one (AST) to help one of my newcomer friend (DNC). This time DF graced us with the presence of...a fellow newcomer (SAM) and a blue healer (PLD).

Upon loading into the instance, the PLD immediately says "FYI, not max level and not geared, will have to single pull." Yeah, okay sure PLD, you do you. I'm fine with it and I think it's a nice opportunity for the two newcomer to experience a relaxed run & to admire the scenery, if any at all.

I kid you not, I started this story by introducing them as a blue healer. Because yes, you probably guessed it right: drop down below 70%? [Clememecy]. It also pains me that they're still doing this despite single pulling everything. No [Holy Circle], they actually saves their MP just to [Clememecy] spam themselves. A few time I saw [Requiescat] been used yet they never follow it up with their offensive magic. It's always used singularly or followed by their heal. Mind you, their gear was actually not -that- terrible. It's a mix of jumbled i385 - i400 stuffs. I would understand the urge to heal themselves in case they're wall pulling. But those were...single pulls. I feel like my [Essential Dignity] never really reaches 0 stack. They even ignored the shiny star which make me go mentally /facepalm as I express my cringes in our small linkshell chat. In addition to very randomly used defensive cooldown, at some point after 2nd boss they suddenly stopped moving right after my DNC friend starts dancing their standard steps. We waited... waited... eventually their timer threatens to run out, they just decide to eat the standard finisher. Exactly at this moment, the PLD decides to spring forward. (Excuse me...?)

I took a brief look at their search info... multiple classes spread quite evenly between lv60, 70 and few lv80s including DRK, one of the tank classes. Couple this with their behavior made me think they're semi-trolling...which I certainly hope they're not.

I think I have read somebody said the following phrase before... whoever you are, allow me to parrot you because I really think it was awesome: "Who hurt you, PLD?"

To my friend in the linkshell: "I should've rolled as WHM and pretend to be 3rd DPS."

I signed up for roulette on an alt as AST, because I like to hurt myself. I got thrown into Sirensong Sea, and the rest of party comp was DRK MCH BLM.

The drk piped up saying they were quite rusty and getting back into the swing of things as drk, which was fine.

What was not fine was the constant sound of Freeze being casted, repeatedly, on the first set of trash. So throughout the entire dungeon, I watch the blm quite closely and look at their casts...Freeze, Freeze, Freeze, Freeze, Freeze, Transpose, Fire 4, Fire 4, Fire 4, Fire 4, Enochian, Freeze, Blizzard 4, Blizzard 4, Blizzard 4, Blizzard 4, Freeze, Freeze, Blizzard 4, Transpose, Fire 4...

I was watching them a bit too closely and accidentally got the tank killed on the first trash pull after the second boss while trying to give the ranged card to the MCH. We wiped, respawned, I apologized for not realizing ED was already on cooldown, and continued on to finish the dungeon. The blm STILL continued that horrible rotation, and the sound of Freeze annoyed me about as much as Cure 1 spammers.

After we beat the last boss and I got out of there, I went back into the in-game battle log and started counting. Mind you this took me 20 minutes, but...I counted 116 casts of Freeze, 22 casts of Blizzard 4, 23 casts of Fire 4, and 7 uses of Enochian...and 2 casts of Thunder 3. And lots of Transpose. My head hurts from having to read the damn chat log.

To be fair, there is a level range where "spam freeze" is the ideal BLM aoe rotation. It ends when you get flare, but it does exist. And sirensong is at that awkward part of the level curve where you dont have dual-flares yet. Still, that is BAD. My scorched soul is pained reading this. You should have at least 4 times as many Fire 4s as Bliz 4s just from bosses alone(really it should be like 5 or 6 times, but id settle for 4 if the person was still learning). Im wondering if they never learned the stances properly? A reclamation/re-education project for someone else to undertake i suppose.

BLM has a weird leveling curve. They really need to readjust the BLM skill acquisition.

I'm going have to raise a flag here. Freeze spam was never a thing until possibly recently because they completely changed how freeze works (it used to be a manual target spell with a long cast timer). I'm pretty sure that Fire 2 (for groups) or Fire 1 (single-target) is still more efficient than Freeze in any scenario but if they have worked out a rotation where freeze spam is the better option then I really want to see that. Because having BLM mained since Heavensward, that has never been an thing (been a while since I looked up rotations though, so I'm not denying it completely, just that it sounds sketch).

In any case, that kind of play in that level of dungeon hurts my darkened soul as well. :/
