Have you tried abandoning the quest and starting it again?

From the look of the screenshot, doesn't seem to have an abandon option. Which is also why we see these posts crop up from time to time. Wonder what the reasoning/restriction is that removes the abandon option in some quests... If at all possible, devs could/should probably look into fixing that. Being able to abandon/restart would probably solve a lot of these issues.

I considered suggesting the same thing but the abandon option doesn't seem to be there.

Have you tried entering Matoya's cave, or entering the dungeon in Explorer mode? The trigger for the cutscene has to be somewhere.

I believe the trigger for this is actually when you leave the dungeon, which they have obviously done because of the tick. It's really odd. Explorer mode is an idea but I've thought there wouldn't be much difference between that and the dungeon itself, except that it's possible triggers like that are not in that version of it.

The picture they provided shows that they are not able to abandon the quest, so unfortunately that doesn't seem to be an option.

Maybe the final cutscene got added to the Unending Journey, and if you repeated it from there it could hopefully trigger?
