Seriously? No mail box?

Like really? I hope the original developer lives in a box in the freezing cold and is starving to death. How in the world, can someone make so many bad decisions on a game that was supposed to be epic?

Every time I try to convince myself oh, this game isn't so bad I'll try it out again I find a flurry of different things that just blow my mind that they somehow made it passed management...

I really don't like my mithra(or whatever the hell stupid complicated name they decided on), so I decided maybe a new character would be cool, so I go for an elven(again whatever stupid unnecessary complicated name they came up with) but I can't stand the lancer starting gear, so I make a maurader with the plans to mail myself some money and gear to go lancer. BUT THERE'S NO MAIL SYSTEM!? WHAT THE CRAP!

It is unbelievable the amount of garbage I find every single time I try to play this thing....

I think the orginal designer wanted to make a more personal trading system, than having a mail box. I think SE really pushed tanaka to release this game, making this game really (at first) unplayable.

Current server program can't handle it, dev team looked into it but it's not possible, even if they forced some system to make it work it's probably going to cause major issue with other parts of the system so that's why they going to make this happen in 2.0

Don't blame the new dev team, blame the old team + management who pushed this game to be released half ass...

I can only assume a mailbox wasn't originally included because of 'RMT prevention'; that being said, an option to transfer items between characters on the same acct. ala a storage chest or other, would've been a nice initial inclusion.

I know a personal mailbox would help...but with the current inventory limit and class system, couldnt you just make some gil on marauder to buy lancer equipment, then equip a spear? It doesnt sound like you plan on going back to your other character, so why not just switch between the two, funding one another on your elezen?

You've got about 100 or so inventory spaces to take up...so while I agree a mail system would be nice, it doesnt really seem to be a hindrance for your current situation.

Rage over the initial release of the game has gotten more than just old. It's all being fixed as much as it can be. The key thing that most people on the forums know by now though is that the current servers with the way the game is coded and such is very unorthodox for an MMO which not only made the game-server communication horrible, but also made it very difficult to change/patch/fix.

That's why 2.0 is so essential - new servers, new coding, new game. Better patches to follow.
