    I don't mind trials in the leveling roulette for ARR since they are 4 man runs, not true trials. That's the problem with them and why they aren't in the trial roulette. Think about it: The trial roulette is for 8 characters, the only option to make the old ones work would be to split the pre-formed group into two groups of 4, and then have two instances formed. That's a not so small amount of work they'd have to put time into right now into a system that for the most part, is working pretty well.

    The main problems that exist in the game is the organized play dungeons like going floors 101-200 in PoTD. I don't think people should be forced to do those in a fixed group anymore due to it being such an old piece of content. Socially, FFXIV's end game community is sort of about doing the latest and greatest late in the patch cycle. 101-200 for relic is more of a retro run scenario that people do at the onset of a new expansion when the latest and greatest is still coming online.

    This problem you describe doesn't actually exist. DR:Guildhests and DR:Mentor have no problem matching people for either 4- or 8- person content or 4- 8- or 24- person content, respectively.

    And they basically don't support DR: Guildhests and DR: Mentor is a joke? I mean, I tried it but... yeah.

    Bonus from roulette is based in your level and not if it's a Dungeon/Trial.
    If you still want mob XP, you can then queue for highest level dungeon.

    Yeah, you lose 5 minutes but when you're time restricted getting a trial it's a godsend.

    Leveling is there to help fill spots for those going through the under lv 50 content, I love it when I get a trial as I know it will be quick and I will save time.

    The guildhest roulette actually does have problems. Even the devs have said as much waaaaay way back.

    The problem is that 8 man guildhest will almost never pop because of how the duty finder works.

    If for example you have 10 healers in the queue and 50dps for the guildhest roulette.

    The second a tank joins the queue the duty finder will match up a 4 man Guildhest. Then when another tank joins and they'll match another 4 man Guildhest and another and another.. The duty finder system will never sit and wait for a second tank to match that 8 man guildhest when it can get players into a 4 man.

    The only time it will ever try and match the 8 is if someone queues it specifically and even then it can take a life time to pop because everytime it's possible to make a 4 man party for the roulette it'll take those 4 people out of the queue for the 8 man guildhest... This was a huge complaint back in ARR because essentially the only way to get it done was either a preformed party or queue as a tank.

    It's also the same reason the 8 man dungeons from the MSQ are in a seperate MSQ roulette and not tied in with the 50 roulette. and the same reason again the devs said no to adding ARF to the msq roulette in heavensward.

    If you put the 4 man story trials in Trials Roulette you'd break it because the same thing would happen. Every time the system can make a light party it will do so and shove those players in a 4 man trial.. meaning you'd basically never get an 8 man trial.

    The only reason it works in the mentor roulette is because the mentor roulette essentially just queues you for every other roulette and its a case of which queue dings first...
