Why? If a poison, bleed or burn is tickling someone and my regular heals cover it, I'm not going to waste a GCD on Esuna. I actually do take it off my main bar sometimes depending on the content I'm doing. If all I do is Savage and Expert on healer, there's no need to waste the slot. Obviously if I'm running content that needs it I'll move it back, but those situations are so rare I'll maybe need it once or twice a month.

I can't say I mind that much if they make it see significant use or not. You simply use it on certain debuffs. It didn't really make E8S more exciting for example. I think there are much bigger issues they need to address with healers.

Having it as a GCD was a weird choice though even if it was a ogcd I doubt people would use it all that much especially here since for some reason FFXIV community appears to think we have a button bloat issue which I do not see, but generally that is the response I get when I ask people why not just keep it on your bar.

Why waste the space on something that barely gets used. I just have it on my bar just in case though would be nice if it was not on the global cooldown.

    Two stories:
    1. The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak
Queued as a party of 3 with 2 newcomer friend. The 4th member was a first timer random sprout PLD. As soon as the duty commences they charged without tank stance turned on. I mentioned it before the we reach the 2nd pack---no response, still no tank stance seen. Well whatever... I thought it could be an interesting run once in a while. Once the first boss down, they circled the room before deciding to head to the alternative route while I was disarming the magitek barrier. Welp, sprouts do be sprouts definitely. I decide to put the [+] marker on myself afterward. After the 2nd boss down my friend expressed how uneasy they were with how chaotic the aggro was in our private linkshell chat, which prompts me to politely ask the sprout PLD once again... for their tank stance---and ignored again. For real, if they can read where to type their username ID and password to log in, why is it so hard to read in-game tooltip or even...chatbox? Lastly, they decide to facepull the last boss while two of my friends were still in CS... well done you, sprout.
    2. Delubrum Reginae (Normal)
A 38m run but not particularly comfortable with a healer from another party that continuously flood the chatbox with their raise macro, and my own party's healer that either don't have [Esuna] on their hotbar, or doesn't know what [Esuna] is, even after being notified THRICE.

One common thing from these two stories... they played the 'Silent Card'. Nice job mates.

Decided to do yesterday with a friend amdapor keep(me WHM, friend SMN) and and we actually for the first time in my ffxiv playtime I found a bot tank in my party, a PLD who was keyboard turning ,had most if not all jobs to lvl 60(including crafters) who always aggroed the nearest mob(1 mob at a time) and did his 1-2-3 single target combo, no defensives, no fight or flight and no aoe on sight. We kicked them halfway through the dungeon after multiple attempts to communicate with them only to realise it is a bot(and a terrible one since someone would progarm it to aoe at least). Forgot to mention that the name of the bot was normal but probably made in a weeaboo name generator.

Honestly I'm not familiar with bots in FF14, how do you mean keyboard turning? I'm not doubting your judgment or anything but I got accused of being a bot the other day and I can assure you I'm this bad manually lol. My PC is a bit out of date so I use Shadow virtual PC, it's been great so far (returning player) but if I DC at home my virtual PC doesn't and it keeps logged in for 30 minutes doing whatever buttons I had pressed when I DC'd. I was running and turning so when I came back my character was just running around in circles. This was in Halstali so your experience wasn't me but just wondering if the same thing happened to that person?

Keyboard turning, or sometimes dubbed the "robot turn", is when the character would turn in-place to a new direction, then move forward. One of the most common signs of a bot is when a character only ever moves in a straight line, and always foward, thus requiring a rotation first to face the direction the bot wants to go. The reason for this is because it's easier to script for.

Ah ok thanks for letting me know. My character wasn't doing that fortunately as I dont want to get banned for botting when its just a virtual PC DC issue

If you mess up a mechanic you're not familiar with or have forgotten, but I see you respond or clearly take note of an explanation given in chat, I have no issue with you. No matter how easy the mechanic was, we all have our moments, and it's easy to get confused when you're new to all this.

But if you mess up an instakill mechanic every time despite it being explained, and then when you're the last one standing (due to a poorly-placed stack marker) not only refuse to hit healer LB3 but ignore every person telling you to, I start to lose patience. And clearly the other healer did, too. If I gained anything from this experience, it was the realization that I put Verraise in a very awkward place on my bar. It has been moved now.

Frustration aside, here are two recent happenings I found funny:

    1. Dun Scaith. Diabolos. One gaze/stack marker, two massive balls of death following players. Everyone scattered like mice, and the person with the stack marker, a NIN, used Shukuchi... right on top of me, the instant it went off. Sniped.

    2. Castrum, double AST. Both of us did the thing where we waited for the other to choose a sect, and then at the same moment we both gave up waiting and chose... Noct, right before we entered combat. Thankfully everything went perfectly anyway, and I switched to Diurnal after the boss died. The tank commented "noct too shabby" and I groaned.

Got Copied Factory for Alliance Roulette yesterday (for once, bless you rng gods for this gift).

Party has a single Dancer, who does not choose a partner at the start - nor even throughout the entirety of the first boss. They also spend 99% of the fight on the floor.

After first boss is dead, they raise back at start, run towards us. Start fighting the trash after getting teleported to the gate. I notice still no dance partner on anyone. Remind them to partner someone since they're gimping themselves and also partner is... kind of a big part of Dancer's primary job, so.

Their response? "It doesn't work here."

Me, and three other people in the party, all go in unison: Yes it does? It should?

    Them: "I tried"

One person mentions that if it wasn't working, they may have been too far from who they were trying to partner - because yes, Dance Partner most certainly does work at level 80, there is zero reason why it wouldn't.

The DNC, immediately, goes "pls leave me alone"

Queue a bunch of very confused and slightly irritated people, because the attitude about something as simple as dance partner being used was honestly not great.

They still refuse to partner someone until halfway through the second boss, at which point they partner.... the very low-damage bard over the BLM or MCH, but okay, whatever. Least they used it. However, their attitude remained crap and they kept arguing with some other people about it, as well as continued eating the floor for 99% of the fight.

Someone initiated a vote kick on the way to the tank trash between second boss and Engels. It didn't go through (why???) but this prompted the DNC's boyfriend (our tank) to start spewing profanities and calling us all toxic and to let the DNC play how they want, how damage doesn't matter, how it's just a game.

Honestly I am weary of toxic casual couples who enable each other's bad play. I'm also weary of people who won't even perform the utmost basics of their job - or game mechanics in general - at endgame.

Guys, this game is not hard. Please. I'm beggin' ya here.

It sucks but for many all that matters is the clear. How long it took or how many times someone dies is irrelevant for some. It is a shame but some people have fun playing poorly and do not value the time of other cause well the content was cleared end of story.
