Yep. And we were already seeing signs of cut content even before covid hit so...maybe they have something planned and that’s the reason for that? We’ll have to see.I'm really hoping for the announcement, but I agree. I felt originally they cut the dungeons per patch simply to help them play catchup after Hrothgar/Viera, but then COVID hit. We've already seen the problems caused by that pandemic due to how Bozja got pushed back, the ultimate getting delayed, how we missed out on several fanfests and got the expansion trailer late, etc.
Unpopular Opinion...I think its fine, and a good thing we only get 1 new dungeon now instead of 2.
Could just be me, but I feel like the Newer Dungeons we got are more fun. Plus Id like it if we saw more Unique New Gear instead of Recolors of old gear.
That is my Prediction. More customization options; Mostly new Hair, for the Hrothgar and Viera.
And I wanna believe in the idea of more Headgear being adjusted for them. Maybe even some redesigns. Like...ill KILL for the SB Ninja Mask to Fit my Hrothgar ALT.
Even with one dungeon per patch though, we’re still seeing old gear and non dyable outfits.Unpopular Opinion...I think its fine, and a good thing we only get 1 new dungeon now instead of 2.

I hope its worth it. I was fine with the coin flip for roulette since I thought 3 new dungeons every patch was getting to be too much back in the day. I was content with 2 until they decided to cut it down to MSQ/X-pac only. Whatever they're doing I hope it turns out to be worth it. I enjoyed a lot of the re-visits/"hard" of older dungeons personally. Some of them had nice little side-story bits or very nice lore and other tidbits to them.
I loved all the new mechanics and tricks they showed in the ShB initial dungeons. Some became more annoying, but I found a lot of them to be nice and fresh spins on some older mechanics.
If we're gonna be stuck to 1 dungeon per patch then I hope they at least make them very engaging and enjoyable.
What makes me worried about new headgear is that the hew headpiece from the sage AF gear doesn't show on viera... at least not on the render. And it's not even a hat, it's just a tiara in the forehead...
I think we're more likely to see NEW gear in dungeons on odd patches, since even patches also come with new tome gear, new crafted gear, and new raid gear. Where as odd patches generally just have alliance raid gear I think, excluding things like pvp sets that don't have an established pattern. Maybe 5.5 will, we'll wee.
I agree with this a lot. I actually really loved the hard mode dungeons that came out in Stormblood. It was fun to re-explore those dungeons and experience them from a different angle. I personally would love them to increase the dungeon number again, but I won't get my hopes up for that. But I do second the hope that the new ones will be interesting and fun to run.I hope its worth it. If they ever get implemented i just hope they don‘t go again that route of „the males need something controversial and anomalous“
im just annoyed by highlanders having no eyebrows, hrothgar hunching being forced (why???? i loved ronso, i don‘t want to play ronso with backpain)
roe‘s not fitting through doors, au‘ra - even tho some people like it - having that hour glass shape...
elezen... i don‘t think i have to explain that.
i know some people like the things above, but making them at least optional would have been nice. i just feel like some of the male genders would have been much, much more popular if certain things weren‘t forced but optional...

Going back through ShB there are STILL Highlander men with shaved eyebrows even though it makes no sense because there's no Ala Mhigo and thus no fall of Ala Mhigo on the First. AFAIK it's not even given an excuse, either. They just don't have eyebrows because they don't.
