I can't be the only one who is more or less resigned to just...Not unlocked Mentor Roulette because it's gated behind something I really don't want to do, am I?

It makes a lot of sense for Hildy to be part of that because there are trials that it helps fill that otherwise might not be filled. And they're just simple, basic level trials.

The only thing that doesn't really make sense in that roulette are Extremes. Just because if you're tackling something like that you're probably not someone who is going to be in the Novice Network. I've seen a lot of valid criticism about Extremes in Mentor Roulette since a lot of the time people just bail. So the person new to it wasted a ton of time in queue when they could have gotten in and gotten going in PF.

But basic normal stuff is exactly the sort of thing folks will need help with and should be in that roulette.

I love the Hildebrand series and was disappointed that there wasn't a questline in ShB for it so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's alright if it's not your cup of tea - you're welcome to skip dialogue and just move on. But there's no need to go on a vitriolic tantrum over it just because you had to do it to unlock content. It's light-hearted, humorous fun for those who enjoy it, and for those who don't, well... the solution has been given multiple times.

Yoshi has said he will return. The issue, I think he said, is that it was getting stale.

I still see people get rolled in Kugane Ohashi fairly regularly. Mostly because they don't listen to advice about mechanics and assume it's just another faceroll, and then Bad Things happen.

Hildibrand has it's good moments and it's weird ones... Overall, I miss the guy. And the emote you get at the end is totally worth it imo

I totally accept that not everyone likes the same content. I didnt actually present an opinion about the content in question, because how i feel is irrelevant. I stated 3 facts(reason for roulette, trials behind hildy, that they can be long ques - the most recent one especially), and i expressed my skepticism about the OP(albeit, in a slightly aggressive way). They didnt actually need anyone to tell them they can skip cutscenes, advance dialogue without reading, and do the other things to make something they dont enjoy bearable. The fact that their proffered solution to not liking a questline was to make four normal-level difficulty trials harder to que for makes me skeptical about the reason they want the mentor roulette in the first place(are they actually there to help or are they only pretending so they can get rewards?). So... yeah, i stand by that.

I mean I gues if 4 trials are locked behind it I can see why you want your mentors to be familiar with it... but man it sucks.. and it takes HOURS even if you skip the dialogue and cutscenes

Well you can always just not unlock mentor roulette if it's that big of a deal.
