Why do you need to be mettle capped for Delubrum Reginae Savage?

I'm not reaching at all. The premise of your complaint is the idea of grinding... in an MMO. Spoilers, it's all grinding. If the argument was it was unnecessarily long or difficult grinding, that'd be one thing. But it's not. Capping mettle is very quick and easy. If you cannot stomach something in sideways content that can be completed so quickly, simply don't do it.

That's like me complaining that mogstation items are too expensive then saying "well you're paying a sub aren't you!?". You're hardcore reaching.

Plus you're assuming people grind for gil for crafted armor. There's static members who craft stuff for the non crafters. Can you do that with DRS? No.

If you get to rank 15 in Bozja you already exceed that goal.

Basically DR isn't part of the savage/ex trial/ultimate general loot progression. It's the endgame (currently) of Bozja content. So you have to reach the end of it.

If you're rank 15 you either already have that much mettle or you gain it fast enough it shouldn't take too long to get back up.

2. leveling every crafter and gearing them, etc. is an accomplishment
3. getting a relic weapon is an accomplishment
4. getting gold saucer mounts is an accomplishment
5. doing "kill x mount, do this x amount of time" achievements are an accomplishment
6. getting pvp mounts is an accomplishment
7. gettin primal mounts is an accomplishment

Grindy Content = Casual stuff
Hard Content = Raider stufff

Putting raider stuff behind a casual content just to increase the numbers of people doing casual contents = pathetic.

You can argue that Ultimate requires you to grind BiS, but that's raider content that's walled behind raider content.

You can say that clearing story mode is a grind, but that's quick and easy. Bozja takes like 12hs+ of mindless grind (casual stuff) to get to mettle cap

DR Savage is first and foremost, Bozja content. With Bozja mechanics and lost actions etc and benefits from gear specific to Bozja's reward structure. Is it really a surprise you have to finish Bozja to get to the end of its content? It's not part of the raider loot reward structure like savage/ultimate.

If you had to complete Bozja to say, do Eden Savage or an Ultimate fight that would be bad. But this is more Bozja related content.

I don't even know why you care what it is locked behind. If you're going to take issue with anything, take issue with the fact it requires 48 people and you cannot go with less. At least that is a genuine issue. Stop complaining that you actually have to do content. Lmao

Also, stop succumbing to these dodgy notions regarding casual content and hard content and the players therein. Enough players have done and will have done Bozja even if they didn't lock your precious content behind it, be it those that do 'hard' content, or those that do 'casual' content.
