What do you love most about your favorite DPS class?

10. It goes fast. Not as fast as monk or nin (well outside of bozja gear, currently at 1.68 gcd), but still fast enough.

I dunno what the actual APM is, but I actually feel like SAM is faster than NIN.
When you have everything available with NIN in your opener it does feel very fast paced but then after that it's really quite slow imo, I'd probably say that just based on my feelsies without actually looking up the actual APM I'd say it's MNK>SAM>NIN>DRG in that order.
The Ninjutsus also overinflate it even further since it's basically two to three buttons for one ability, but even then.

That might be true, the opener and Ninjutsus overinflates it a lot.
As far as it feels to play tho I am always surprised by how slow it feels in comparison to MNK and SAM.

I think maybe the bursty phase of Trick Attack messes with my head a bit, while MNK and SAM feels more consistently fast.

Sam is faster than DRG? i find samurai super slow but super dps. I always feel sleepy on how slow it is. Very good though if you like setting up and seeing super huge damage numbers.

For me I think Drg is a bit faster than sam with consistent damage while samurai is slow buuut super burst

BiS SAM runs a 2.14 GCD and weaves a hell of a lot to dump excess Kenkei with Shinten to avoid overcapping, ensure Iaijutsu is buffed with Kaiten, dump Sen with Hagakure to keep rotation aligned, etc. As a result, it has ~42 APM as mentioned up above, while DRG is sitting at ~36 APM. DRG runs a much slower GCD at 2.50, has a lot less double weaves, and just less weaves in general given the length of their cooldowns.

I see thanks. I guess dragoon just clicks for me more then since I find samurai so boring despite all of these. Was actually looking forward to samurai for years only to get bored when i unlocked and tried it last month lol
