Wow. You must be BIGYou win the whole thread. This is 100% on point and better articulated than I could ever have said.
Scalpers ruin everything. It has always been a problem, but never as bad as it is now. You really don't think scalpers aren't scalping the 400$ omega resales? Of course they are. They'll ruin anything for a turn of profit, even if others go without.
Zelda Joyons. Ruined.
Ps5 is still unobtainable.
Xbox Series X Is unobtainable.
Every limited gaming thing ever is scalped and sold at OUTRAGEOUS prices.
Even the Mario Cereal that was out a few years ago was scalped for at least 50$ a box. CEREAL. I don't know anyone who got a box. And it was all because it contained a Mario Odyssey code.
Mcdonald's had to make it so that you couldn't just buy Pokemon cards. You have to buy a happy meal. People scalped and ruined those for the first week.
Exclusivity on physical content does NOT work in this day and age. Not until scalpers are regulated better by laws, which is a hard enough issue to deal with. Ask anyone how they are going to make such laws without limiting the freedom to buy and resell your own private property. It's a very hard law to write, and it will take some creative lawyers, and politicians to come up with such a bill. Until then, the least we could do is make these limited things easier to obtain.at people like myself then.
