YoshiP plans to add casual small scale pvp content, possibly replacing 4v4 Feast

So we now have more news about this mode after the february live letter showcasing Endwalker. While my expectations for PvP in this game are low, this is pretty good news to me as they have identified many of my major issues with feast.

I've never been a fan of that degree of healer centric gameplay, and they have explicitly called that out as a liability, so a mode with a more equitable distribution of responsibility is very welcome. I have a lot of fond memories of warsong gulch matches back when I was playing vanilla wow, so if they can replicate that kind of small scale objective based gameplay, I think it will be a step forward from what we have now.

Ironically CTF in WoW is one of the worst experiences because of the tank/healer dynamic. It would probably be a lot better if it was Team Fortress style, where you didn't need your own flag back in order to capture theirs.

I don't know. SE has a real problem with just abandoning side content for months or even years on end because they're busy with other things, and we all know that no matter what Yoshi-P says, PvP will always be side content. I can't remain optimistic, especially when the kind of thing he's looking for already exists and is called Rival Wings.
