Yes they are and yes it will. I mean, it will surely hit sales if there isn't something juicy and attractive to the xpac, let's be honest now.
And people love new jobs.

Hm, by this logic, SE is not obligated to add anything we know so far every expansion... They have to add something, since they're selling a product, but nothing dictates exactly what it is.
They aren't, so whether it remains popular as well as weather they can spare resources helps them decide. For example, Hildebrand probably wouldn't have continued but its popularity is what causes it to continue, and of course that becomes a selling point because of quests involving the new areas.
I kind of wonder, at what point will we start seeing less jobs?
Animating and rigging the multiple races for the multiple animations that every single job gets each expansion is no easy feat.
That said, I'm very happy for 2 jobs every expansion and I'd love a curve ball of even 3 sometime.
That is correct logic.
In fact, when you buy an expansion, you're basically paying just for the .0 patch. Subsequent patches are not even guaranteed, other than the promise of an alliance raid (which usually happens in .1) as well as Ultimate in the case of Endwalker. So Endwalker promises 6.0 and 6.1 (with the new story for MSQ as well), but that's about it. Plans can still change, as we've seen.
"While new expansions are cool, if current FFXIV add no news expansions that wouldn't be the end of FF14"
We could say the same about everything related to content in game but since people pay monthly for a sub, having new tools/jobs to plays its always expected specially if they are going to charge money for a new whole expansion.
Without a new job, you still have new max level and new AF gear and new abilities for the current jobs to play the expansion. No new job is not the same as no new expansion, or even no new tool."While new expansions are cool, if current FFXIV add no news expansions that wouldn't be the end of FF14"

Leveling the same job =/= Leveling a new job.
What makes a expansion a real one? adding new content drastically (History, maps, weapons, sets, jobs, mounts, better graphics, races, reworking or changing old content etc) by paying an additional fee to the current monthly one. Like I understand you can't have everything you wish but Devs said that they are not going to introduce new races ( sadly)and imagine if they comes saying " no more new jobs", what's next? new expansion but no new zones?.
What's next is irrelevant. Deal with each issue separately. You can still have an expansion without a new job.Leveling the same job =/= Leveling a new job.

They would have to be creative with FFXIV's mostly static zones to have a new expansion without a new zone, but if they revamp the zones, then they can do that.
A new expansion requires new MSQ/story/quests/battle content. Everything else is cherry on top of that cake that is the expansion, but is not the cake itself.
That's basically what a "patch" it's and what we currently get every 3-4 months, they introduce new raids, MSQ, change logs, small raids , fixes etc. Of course the content (MSQ) added by patches aren't huge as a new expansion.
Of course not adding a new job wouldn't be the end of the game but will make a lot of people disappointed
