Unpopular Opinion: SE Is Not Obligated To Add New Jobs Every Expansion

The msq alone can't sell the expansion.

It can for me as I'll definitely buy the expansion to do the MSQ. After that, it's a matter of having content to do to justify continued subscription in between new MSQ, which for me, means raids and alliance raids, with or without new jobs.

Unpopular opinion here. SE is kinda obligated to deliver content if they want to get our money. And if we are honest without dancer and gunbreaker Shadowbringers would have been a more shallow Expansion than it already was. Not storywise ofc, story was neat. But SE is really bad at implementing new content besides the old basics like Alliance Raid, Savages and Ex Trials. We had no Deep Dungeon this time and they took the second optional dungeon every new patch from us. So yeah they don't have to put in a new job every expansion but if they don't do it i pray to hydaelyn they give us content cause by the twelve there is not enough to do at all for the core players. But this is complaining on a high level, SE does many things right.

Me as well, though that largely has to do with the fact that I got the job I wanted already (Gunbreaker).

They aren't "obligated" to do anything. The next expansion could just be a still image of YoshiP staring at you saying 'Thanks for the money' while they shut the servers down, as long as they didn't falsely advertise.
