No one said "I want a server merger that goes like this".......then offers an explaination of how to do it.

BUT

A massive amount of posters did post DEMANDING a server merger. Now that they are getting it there are 300 various threads complaining about the server merger.

The point you don't seem to get is that they are complaining about the WAY the merge is supposed to proceed, NOT about the merge itself.

Your post, however, explicitly states we are:

You guys do know that he gave us this information a month and a half early so we could give him feedback about what we think about it right? It's in one of the posts that one of the dev's translated saying that yoshi gave use the info. about the merger over a month ahead of time because this is what he truly believes is the best way to do the merger but he knows that no matter what he does people are going to hate him. So he released what he is going to do and than is waiting for feedback now. If he didnt want feedback he wouldn't of told us and just done it. To lazy to look for it right now but one of the dev's translated his post from, i think the french forums

I feel bad for yoshi. He made a decision that he felt as developer (leader) of FF14 was the best one along with his develper team was the right one. People keep saying with the planed server change that they may loose friends. People forget that its their friends decision to choose what ever server that they may choose and that is not to lay the blame on yoshi or developers . It is one thing to say you disagree with the way the merger is happening, but to make comments like in other post about yoshi not carring about the community is just messed up. Do you guys remember what it was like before yoshi took over? We rarely ever got updates or info about the game. Since he has took over he actually listens to are input and keeps us updated. So why you may disagree with merger, think about all the awesome changes and coming changes yoshi has brought to are game. Please post how you feel but be respectful.

I do no for a fact that yoshi did not make everyone in the community mad. I no this because I am a member of the community and from the post on this topic you can see there is people that support yoshi decission. I agree people should be able to express how they feel about the topic but to lash out at yoshi saying he hates are community is just messed up. If he didnt care about what we thought their proably wouldnt be a forum that had developers responding and keeping us updated on.

It's a breath of fresh air to see some maturity in these forums. One thing for sure, the whole community is not upset about this.

The one single thing that motivates people to go public with their feelings and thoughts is when a person is upset or feels they have been wronged. Yes, sure, sometimes you see people come on a forum or take a survey to express how content they are, but not nearly as often as when they are upset. So, if it's true that the whole community is upset over this issue, where are the thousands of members posting their discontent? I see only a small portion of the community waling out in anguish.

I'll be glad when this is over so the atmosphere can clear. People will either drive on or quit and personally I'm not bothered which. I've been pissed off at the game more times that I can count, but I just drive on. When there is another product that is worth my consideration, I'll go explore my options, but until then, I'll just drive on here.

As someone so kindly reminded us all.... This is a video game. Ponder that and then get a grip. If this is where you truly get your identity then you've got more problems than a server merge method.

just because we don't know what's the way to go about implementing something in the coding process doesn't stop people from knowing what they want.

i may not know how to put video together and edit it out for a big movie production, but i do know whether i want to watch a comedy or an action movie. i may not be able to write the story, play the parts, direct the movie, edit everything properly, do the stunts, add all the special effects, or get it from video to the finished product, but i do know what i want out of the finished product.

you are right we play games and pay cash to do so. we pay them to make the game for us, but we pay them to make a game we enjoy.

I think Yoshi-P and the Dev team has done a great job up to now, unfortunately this mmo community is very harsh on anything they percieve to be negative or unfair. I think this is due to the very bad start this game had, people are entitled to their opinions but personal attacks shouldnt be posted as they add no value what so ever.

For SE and more specifically Yoshi-P its a case of damned if you do, damned if you dont.
